Something I’m curious about is there enough room for the driveshaft to move up and down as the rear axle moves up and down? Seems really tight with the exhaust running below it.
@rogersrodworxАй бұрын
Yes the driveshaft and rear axle are at full drop in the video. The suspension is way stiffer than stock, and I've checked to make sure everything clears during travel

@rogersrodworxАй бұрын
Then they were mounted wrong when Kooks headers manufactured the headers.
@michaelprahm8088Ай бұрын
O2 sensors need to have a 10 degree or more tilt for condensation issues. That sensors being parallel to the ground will be prone to failing and or giving false readings.

Not a fan of the headlights, they appear to small with the trim piece, if they had filled up the opening to make them look more seamless it would be nicer, I like the idea, just not the execution. I would think the late 80's monte carlo or olds cutlass would work better, maybe even from the pontiac 6000 or chevy caprice?

I hear what your saying. I think with a different trim ring I can make them look alot better. I'm still working on something different for that.

I am still going to call yours a 76 Trans Am because 76 was Cooler and I had one and 76 being the last year for 455 also 76 was a 1 year only on the front end, funny thing though Pontiac sent 4 Trans Ams originally to the movie making of Smoky and The Bandit fitted with 77 front ends like yours made me feel good to know I had same year as Burt drove in movie. Your Trans Am is going to have everything I would dream of having last time I watched you deciding on where to put computer and I had I was thinking something like that I am curious how will it for sure stay dry?
@rogersrodworx3 ай бұрын
I agree. We rebuilt a silver 76 years ago. 400 4 speed with a red interior. I really liked that car. It definitely had the better look of the 74-76 cars.
@tomcoon90383 ай бұрын
The TA is nice, but I came back for the Camaro. I've had both in my lifetime. The Camaro is more of a guys car with all the go fast items and fixin's. The TA's I had were, well, for the girls. As in, which one got more attention from the girls back then? They were bone stock and they "worked" just fine! But the Camaro was for me and my favorite by far. (I know, basically the same car but...)
@rogersrodworx3 ай бұрын
I get what you're saying, I like them both. The 70-72 camaros are really my favorite of the Camaro body styles. I've got a 71 camaro that, hopefully, my brother and I can build together one day.
