Won't start ch.5 anytime soon, but you can access the two bosses on their respective tab. You can't warp directly from the char screen because it's a slight spoiler for the weekly boss until you fought it once from the tab. The minor boss isn't really a spoiler so I think you can unlock core A-C? Got her but lost on the engine. Trying to go for it still since I'm using the next best one on Yanagi so I need another engine. She does insane dmg without one already 😆

Heyy just a heads up, I heard that for chapter 5 main story, some of the English dub voicelines are temporarily missing and will only be added in later. I don’t know how soon you’ll be playing though chapter 5, but I thought I’d let you know just in case you guys want to make a decision based on that!

The reason why her mother wants her to avoid the sword specifically, is that their family is swordsman family so they’re fated to fight to their deaths wielding their swords. It’s like a duty, fate and curse kind of, that their family is bound to swords and wielding the sword will always come with suffering. So you can see the moment she held a proper sword she had to kill her own mother which is just the beginning of her tough journey ahead.

Good catch with the gun on the wall. It looked like a Kriss Vector. Also, loved the scene with them riding horses with the utility poles & modern airliner in the background!

I wonder if the father was the previous void hunter but ended up dying. That might not be the case it could even be the grandparents since little miyabi says the family heads. So whatever the sword accepts could have skipped over miyabi’s parent. It would make sense then for the mother to try to keep her daughter away from that path, and for her to seemingly have a low etheric resistance. Regardless, beautiful video, and love your guys reactions especially because you get right into the video and save the talking till after. Keep it up. And good luck to everyone who decides to pull. We’ll need it.

A cute detail I’ve noticed about Miyabi is that her mother often referred to normal tasks like remembering names and eating healthy as training, and a few times in game Miyabi has mentioned training to “be the first to visit the memorial” (which is where we first learned of her mother’s death) or training to “avoid mission briefings”. I like to think of it as a tick or something she picked up to remember her mother by.

Kinda late to see your gameplay guys, but I just finish the base game for the first time and I’m looking forward to starting the dlc. Loved that you guys play together, reminds of me and my brother and you guys are genuinely good at the game, so it’s really entertaining to watch you play. There's also an interesting detail (which I firmly refuse to believe was a mistake), but in the scene at 5:15 Miyabi's eyes turn blue for a few seconds, and coincidentally, she's also smiling there. Every other time we see her, her eyes are red-ish and she barely ever leaves her deadpan expression.

I saw a comment pointing out that Miyabi’s mom reaching out and holding Miyabi’s little face in her last moments so that the last warmth from her mom’s hands that Miyabi will always remember is the warmth of a mother holding her baby’s face whispering how much she loves her instead of a mother holding her baby’s hands thrusting a sword into her own body. That absolutely broke meeeee!! I keep getting emotional no matter how many times I watch this animation knowing these characters aren’t even real 😭
