@@JoeAustt Thanks. Really pleased that its finally settled in well. The camera doesn't do it much justice though. The tone that its brought out of the bell was breathtaking when I heard it rung to all ten for the first time. I'm very much looking forward to when I return to install some rope guides locally, so I can join in the practice and ring it again!

They certainly seem like a characterful 8. To my ears (and if you look at the nominals), it's the treble & 2nd which are out of tune, rather than the 3rd. The first two bells are a tad too sharp for the rest of the ring.

You can really notice the clapper bounce on the tenor, isnt it amazing what a purple colour does. Lol Obviosly some flex in the wooden shaft. I wonder if any experiments have been done with some form of synthetic material..

Firstly I must say that I ring in Cornwall and so don't do method (but do rise and fall in peal). That withstanding why do people never pull the handstroke until really late on larger bells with method ringing? Just seems to waste time once the sally starts bobbing. Not a loaded question and genuinely interested to know as I watch more of these videos.

It’s more of guiding it than actually pulling when ringing up.

@@JoeAustt That’s great! One note I may add, personal preference, but when a tail end is as floppy as that one - i find it easier to make more loops, to reduce the risk of you lassoing yourself!
