@buybyetech9 күн бұрын
There’s a list of compatible phone cases on the website: help.playbackbone.com/hc/en-us/articles/18306138828311-Which-cases-are-compatible-with-the-Backbone-One-2nd-Gen

I do love my Backbone One but it's not perfect because of the size. I think my hand are just bigger that average men hands so I can't play a lot without resting for a bit. Also Backbone is pretty wobling if you're using it as a controler without a phone. I've got my for 65 instead of 100 and the first year of Backbone app is free so I do not regret. But buying it for a full price - I'm not sure about it.

Does this and the 633 charge the phone at the same speed when using a cable? (Not wirelessly). Thank you
@buybyetech24 күн бұрын
The MagGo Power Bank and 633 Power Bank offer 20w fast charging if you’re using a cable to charge via the USB-C port. Faster than the 7.5w the 633 gives you and the 15w the MagGo gives you using MagSafe.

1:34 ❤🤘🏾🙌🏾 My only case for the life of my iPhone 14 ProMax. Love this video. I have most of what’s showcased here. Apple Battery, Anker Ring, and the Otterbox Defender XT; haven’t been disappointed yet. About time they made MagSafe docks for game controllers. I hope MagSafe replaces most of the old clamp-style attachments.
@buybyetechАй бұрын
I’m with you on the MagSafe controller dream! I have the Backbone One which is great but it’d be cool to just slap your phone onto some dedicated controller with MagSafe already built in and it just connects and you’re ready to go. Or even some Switch-like MagSafe dock connected to your TV that does the same. I think if Apple just had some dedicated game mode it went into whenever it connected to devices like this they’d really have something pretty amazing for gamers. Thanks for the comment!
@JunkionMarnot2005Ай бұрын
@@buybyetech YEAH! Never thought of a Switch-like modular setup. That's brilliant! It'd be cool if they made a MagSafe dock that when docked, the iPhone detects the TV and starts the last game played or gives you options on the games you have available. And the the phonon the controller acts as a map/menu/weapon switcher while gameplay is on screen. But I think that's been suggested. Its asking too much of Apple 😅

@buybyetechАй бұрын
It’s ridiculous. I actually think the whole “thinness” flex is more of a distraction to win over consumers into upgrading because it just looks cool. An entry level iPad or even a used older model is more than enough for what an iPad is to most people these days. And there’s nothing wrong with that, just goes to show how great of a product it is. Thanks for the comment!

Great video! What would you recommend for android devices?
@buybyetechАй бұрын
Most MagSafe accessories have attachments you can stick to the back of a phone or case for Android users. For example the Ridge wallet and PopSockets grip featured in the video have these. But there are no Android phones on the market currently that natively support the MagSafe/Qi2 wireless charging standard to take advantage of magnetic power accessories like the Anker ones featured in the video.

Can I angle the iPhone pad, or is it fixed in its angle?
@buybyetech2 ай бұрын
It's fixed and can't be angled but I saw Anker has another form factor with the same features that does include a foldable iPhone charging pad. It's $10.00 more but still almost $50.00 cheaper than everything else out there. Link here if you're interested in it: geni.us/ktFYN1

I got the MagGo 10000. It'a a great battery but still have a lot flaws. 1st it does not fit the 6.1" iPhone 15 Pro, only the Max. The battery is longer than the 15 Pro when mounted on the phone. 2nd is the build quality. The Charging Pad face of the power bank does not stay flat on the phone when charging, the surface has irregularities (bad quality) and the lower part where the second magnet is located has always a 1-2 millimeters raise from the glass back of the phone. 3rd, on the iPhone 15 Pro it starts to charge with 15 Watts but after 30-40 mins goes all the way down to 5-6 Watts (measured on Ampere).
@guh98618 күн бұрын
I think the lower wattage may be due to heat. I have an iPhone 11 and use a MagSafe case paired with a magnetic battery pack, and I’ve had that same issue with a totally different battery pack.

Is it advisable to leave it on the iPhone when it has 100% charge? So that it doesn't get off, is it recommended?
@buybyetech2 ай бұрын
There’s really no reason to keep it on if your battery is already at 100%. It’s not meant to be a permanent accessory you have on your phone at all times. I wouldn’t recommend using it this way.

Where did you get that widget that shows your magsafe battery pack?
@buybyetech3 ай бұрын
It’s the built-in battery widget on the iPhone. It only works with Apple’s own MagSafe Battery pack since it’s the only Made for MagSafe Battery pack out now (at least I’m pretty sure it is). MagSafe compatible battery packs, like this one, won’t show in the battery widget. That’s probably why this one has the built-in screen to show that kind of information.

I think this controller needs a hard case especially if you plan on traveling with it. this controller looks fragile and cost $70-$100. the case has a dedicated slot, slim profile, and simple design. easily toss it in your bag or glove box and don't need to worry about it.

I have a 100W power adapter from Anker that I tested this with and it seems to work just fine. The power adapter I use has 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port. I plugged the charging station into one USB-C port and my MacBook Pro to the other one and everything was charging just fine. I'm not sure how charging speeds are affected, for example, I would assume the speed going to charge the MacBook wouldn't be as fast since power is also going to the charging station but everything was charging just fine with this set-up.

Hi bbt, I am a Uk viewer of this video, and I can't find anyone who can answer the following. How long does it take to fully charge the Qi2 power bank itself, and how do you charge it? Do you require a plug for the mains, and with what cable? Many thanks
@buybyetech4 ай бұрын
I haven't tested how long it takes to actually get the battery pack itself up to 100%, it would vary depending on what percentage the battery pack is at - I haven't had a situation where I've completely drained it and charged it back up, but I can find the time to do so and update this post. To charge it, you just plug in a USB-C cable to a power adapter. You can charge both the battery pack AND phone this way too.

Thank you. I really appreciate that you have taken the time to respond

Will it work with android phones because Qi2 has been officially certified to work with android phones because Android companies are going to start putting magnets on the back of the phones
@buybyetech4 ай бұрын
Yes, it's a universal charging standard so it's not exclusive to the iPhone. It's just there aren't any Android phones out yet with Qi2 support, which makes sense since we're just now starting to get Qi2 accessories. My bet is that you'll start seeing Android phones with this feature late this year into next year.

I just bought an s24 ultra and it doesn't have qi2. Bummer. At least I can use the old Qi standard, which will actually fast wireless charge at 10w (15w using Samsung wireless chargers). My brother has a made for magsafe charger ring that charges his phone at 15w wireless (12 pro max) but my phone at 5w (s20fe and soon to be s24 ultra)

In my professional opinion, sacrificing the rapid charging capabilities of three devices for the sake of eliminating a wired connection seems counterintuitive. The wireless charging pad still requires the devices to be placed on it, rendering the wired connection inconsequential in terms of convenience.
