Great review and info on accessories. The protective cover for the Pocket 3 also comes with the standard version, not just the Creator Combo. It's low light capabilities are the reason we got ours!

We were there in 2023 and returning next March. You covered things really well. One thing that you missed was how slippery the contoured stone walkways are when it rains! Walking the beach, a nice pool, and reasonable food are our big reasons that we enjoy Punta Cana, and Melia did that well for us as a couple.

I have experienced the brake mitigation problem while driving in a shadow from an overpass. The truck applied the brakes due to misjudging an imminent threat and really startled me. Luckily there weren’t any cars behind or beside me, but it was not good.

I would think it is wiser to have the mount that can handle heavier payload than a lesser one. A different, tougher magic arm can be attached to the Neewer anyway. For GoPros, the included one should suffice, should it not? Good to see the comparison as I am ready to buy one.

So my wife and i took our honeymoon in viva wyndham dominicus beach and we got the club viva and i tell you what its so worth it, access to all vip bars with premium drinks not watered down drinks from normal bar, specialist restaurant are free and you can go as manytimes as you like. There are so many more perks, but the list goes on, we spent 10k for the nxt 30yrs so for that, we get 10k points each year, which can roll over each year if you want,so 10k point which equivalent to 1 week double room high season or 2 weeks double room low season, low season is just at the end of the summer so temps still in the high 20s, all we do now is pay for flights and transportation from punta cana to Byahibe which takes 40min drive, the beaches here at the dominicaus beach resort is postcard picturesque, gorgeous pure white sand and there is not a bit of seaweed in sight, Over all its is so worth it and we dont regret a single penny of it, were going back this December again for a week free for joining last year, we are then going to viva Azteca and maya in Mexico next year for 10 days and its only cost 2.8k flights food and transport for what should of cost 4.5 to 6k so more than worth it. Anyway hope this helps to his question.

@ 9:40 index, this part of the video made me laugh, what a sweet couple. The Honda Ridgeline is also a great vehicle to take out for a weekend drive. Comfortable Smooth Not too big, not too small.

I like your no nonsense no BS review. Two questions, One I saw one review on here that said this resort has significant issues with insects both inside rooms and outside along with power disruptions and water outages. Was that your experience the 2 times you were there? (What time of year did you visit on your 2 trips?) Two, you mentioned cigars, would you say the duty free cigars were more or less expensive than at the resort cigar shop?? Did vendors in town or on the beach have name brand cigars in sealed packages?? Thanks so much.

I've stayed at Cayo Leventado. I agree its very pricey but its also quite luxurious and absolutely gorgeous. Some of what you said isn't quite accurate. When you stay at the Bahia Cayo Leventado you don't really notice the tourists coming and going to the other side of the Island other than seeing boats come and go unless you go out of the resort. If you go to the 'public' side of the Island earlier in the day before the tour boats arrive it is very quiet and lovely. Yes there is an armed security guard at the entrance to the resort. The resort has 2 private beach areas of its own. The boat ride from the Bahia private dock (which is where they check you in and take your luggage and put it in your room for your arrival) on the main land is about 10-15 min. Once you are at the resort they have a free shuttle to and from the mainland twice/day if you want to leave the Island and they have excursions that leave directly from the Island as well. Since the renos a couple years ago it has gotten more upscale and definitely more pricey and would be more along the lines of higher end Secrets properties. Personally I don't think the traffic on the public end of the Island is really a factor for whether you might like to stay there or not. It's more of a do you want to pay that much even though its very nice?? You are correct you could definitely go to Viva V twice for the price of one time at Leventado.

Having to shut off engine stop is not a good thing to have to do to keep the engine on. Big safety issue. Get the idle stop people.

I have a 2024 Black Edition. I agree with almost all of your points except for the auto high beam headlights. I find it's very poorly implemented. The high beams are slow to activate and will switch back to low beams when they detect light reflection off of roadsigns. I've driven other vehicles with a much better implementation. There are complaints about this on Reddit and Facebook Ridgeline groups as well.

Excellent review! I am looking for a smaller camera bag to carry a DSLR and one or two additional lenses, plus wind breaker, some food, etc. I really like being able to have a tripod on one side and a water bottle on the other. One thing that concerns / interests me is that I like having a Peak quick-access camera clip on the left shoulder strap. It appears that I would not be able to install the clip on the shoulder strap.

I have a 2022 RTL-E and recently got to drive a 2024 RTL for a 5 weeks while mine was in the body shop. Wow what a difference in the refresh made with the interior! Namely the infotainment. My 2022 feels so outdated now after using the 2024 for 5 weeks. Center console is better and love the stamped Ridgeline tailgate. I will be trading mine in soon. Don’t get me wrong I love it, but infotainment on the refresh is a huge step forward

I noticed you have rear seat climate control and heated rear seats. I do believe that is only available in the Canadian market. The US market Trailsport trim doesn’t have either. In US market you have to get the Black Edition

I have a 2017 Ridgeline with 48400 miles and love it. I have no issues with it. Does everything i need and then some. I had a 2007 Ridgeline for 10 years and it was fantastic... traded it in for the 2017 and couldn't be happier.

fyi.a 100k corvette has the push button gear setup.

I have a 2024. I agree on the pushbutton transmission and auto shut off. Sure, those are minor things all things considered, but they are annoying. And you can't permanently disable auto shut off, you have to do it each drive. I do like how in 2024 they made the center console better. Not a fan of the flip down armrests.
