Ah good. That was the thing I was wondering: “Were there 76 trombonists in the recording?” However, there’s one issue I have: There aren’t “110 coronets close behind.” 😔

Man I am so hooked on this blues will this old school stuff. There is something that I hear in the voices of most of these men and women that draws me in. Almost spiritual I'd say.

Miss the days of normal, workmanlike salutes in the dressage. Today’s elaborate flourishes really annoy me. The point of the salute was to show the horse was fully in the bridle and completely attentive. It was never meant to be an interpretive dance.

I was lucky enough to be in this session, it was a lot of fun and St Augustine's is a beautiful church, used many times for orchestral recordings over the years (particularly the BBC Symphony whose base is just down the road in Maida Vale). The 76 ( I think they got more than that in the end) departed after this track was in the can and then the front row 16-20 players remained to record the rest of the album which some of us stayed to listen to and which went on to some ungodly hour. To be able to listen to the cream of London's orchestral Trombonists of the time in one place was quite an experience, and many of them still had rehearsals to be at in the morning with their chops hanging off. Great to see some old faces again, thanks for posting LiveArtPresents.

Sort of a weird video. The sound track does not sync with what the various trombones are actually playing. It seems like they just edited a bunch of performing video then overlayed the music.

Did you watch the whole video? It starts out with slowed down clips but for the most part the clips do sync properly

Sorry to hear that, have you tried pushing the auto focus button/lever down to infinity focus, if that doesn't work something certainly wrong. Maybe the 'back focus' has misaligned.

WE THE PEOPLE - (King Rollo : 2012) - Key C - 3/4 (C)We, the (C/E)people, come (F)gather your (C)land. There’s (C)something needs (C/E)fixing, will you (Dm)not lend a (G7)hand? Will you (C)cry all your (C/E)lifetime, and (F)never (C)foresee, That (C)We, the (C/E)people, are (G7)born to be (C)free. We, the people, are from the same Earth. We toil on the land and suffer from birth. This for a reason that’s easy to see, That We, the people, are born to be free. CHORUS We, the people, we stand for the truth. We know the facts and demand of the proof. Of our natural rights They can never deny, When We, the people, know that They lie. CHORUS And We, the people, reserve all our rights. Preserve all our freedoms, without need to fight. For those, who would steal them, can only be wrong, But We, the people, will always be strong. We, the people, can never be ruled, By the trust they abused and the fraud we are fooled. But let’s not take hostage nor blacken the day. For We, the people will have the last say.
