The JP/EU of Quartz Quadrant just sounds like you’re getting out of this wasteland and the vocals “WOAH, Forget this place” it pretty much suits the level. The US version sounds like you’re EXPLORING the wasteland that Eggman created.

Stardust Speedway JP (I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this, but the problem lies in the vocals. The Japanese vocals in general suck, so any song not using prominent vocals tends to rank a lot higher, but since this has a lot of vocals, it sounds kinda bad.) 11. Quartz Quadrant US (It feels like it’s almost going to go somewhere really cool and exciting, but the same bland rock remains throughout. It’s still pretty cool though.) 10. Metallic Madness JP (Once again, the vocals are supposed to carry the song, and they do a horrible job at it.) 9. My ranking on The Present songs: #14- tidal tempest US 5.3/10 Ok look you can’t blame me, it doesn’t fit with the stage and it’s not even that good, and the vocals are only meh. I just really don’t think it’s a good song really. #13- collision chaos US 6.1/10 It’s better than the last one but that doesn’t mean it’s great, I mean it’s good ish, it’s just a bunch of bass and guitar over and over again, but as a song it’s ok. #12- quartz quadrant US 6.7/10 It doesn’t fit with the stage at all, and it doesn’t even relate to the future songs at all. But as a song on its own? It has to be one of the best rock songs I’ve heard in a while. But sadly I can’t rank it higher than this #11- wacky workbench JP 7/10 It does fit with the stage I admit, it feels like the factory is up and running and you need to be careful, but as a song it’s really meh, pretty repetitive but it’s ok #10- collision chaos JP 7.3/10 I think it really fits the stage and it’s nice plus as a song it’s cool, has relations with the future and past music and in general a pretty neat song, my main nitpick is that the instrument choice could have been a bit better #9- Palmtree Panic US 7.4/10 Couldn’t decide which to put this, but I chose 9 because I like the theme of it being tropical and it really fits the stage, it’s just that it can fit a little more for it being the first level, and it’s almost too tropical for the scenery or I could just be dumb. #8- startdust speedway JP 7.8/10 Not bad, not bad at all, I like the vocals at the start and the HUEHUEHUEHUE. My ranking #7 collision chaos 7.9/10 I love all the past music so don’t think I hate this song, I really think it fits the past very very well, it’s incredible. It’s just that some of the noises can be weird, that’s all. But in summary, great song #6 quartz quadrant 8.3/10 The odd voice lead can be interesting in ways… but the song as for fitting the past is 10/10. My ranking (how to waste 10 minutes of your life) #14- Tidal Tempest US 5.6/10 Look I don’t hate it, in fact for a song it’s probably my top 10 sonic cd songs, but it really doesn’t fit the stage or an underwater level, I really think if I liked it as a song and it being fitting for the stage it would be top 5. Also some parts of the song is uninteresting.
