I love this education system but there is a few problems. The people who want to become teachers would have to pay more money and work way harder. And if how would they actually be able to fit algebra and all really hard things into 7 years . That’s kind of the problems I have. But I love the rest of the system

I don't know if I'm buying into this. Free education; their is no free, someone has to pay for it. No standardized tests; how do we know if they know anything? C'mon, at what point do they learn the three r's?
@oluwajimiloko25366 ай бұрын
I honestly agree with all the points except 7. There has to be a little bit of competition, at least annually between schools. The real world doesn't work like that. Except their work system is the same as their school they might just get overwhelmed.

No mention of the family? I have taught in American middle and upper class schools. No problem. Great parental support, good student participation, good test results. When I taught in poor performing schools in African-American communities, there was a huge percentage of families that did not care about their child's progress, and in fact, some families encouraged disrespect. Solution: Get the bad kids out of the schools OR transfer those who want to learn to better performing safer schools.

I am finnish. Finnish education system is not free. It is paid by taxpayers. Wealthy taxpayers to be more exact. That is an inconvenience for the left of course. Wealthy people pay the most taxes absolutely because they get more money but they also pay the most relatively because finnish tax-system punishes the people who make more. More you earn the higher percent you pay. It is absolutely wrong to say it is free education.
@rosemaryojeda53399 ай бұрын
I think you should better get out in your own country if you feel not fair enough collecting taxes to those earned well! Go to other country you might get shocks and realized it, how lucky you are having a good quality of education an yet you never get paid or spend any single penny in your own pocket darling! 😅lol

If the education system in Finland has been proven to be extremely effective, why haven’t other countries began implementing it?
@aashay162 Жыл бұрын
because to implement that system other countries would need to have an assembly of their ministers and most of them will not agree(they are lazy people they don't care about the country they care only about their salaries). Even if everyone agrees then there will be public opinions where people with sheep herd mentality will not let changes take place because most of the teachers will be fired because of their limited education. And then if it checks everything above then a huge fund of capital will be needed that'll take more years and most of the funds will be taken by the ministers, contractors, principals etc. so the greater the population the more difficult it'll become to implement the system. It's nearly impossible if people with herd mentality exist and most of the people have sheep herd mentality. Sorry mate, it's nearly impossible. If it was easy it would've already been implemented.

Bangladesh has begun this curriculum from this hear. And it has been a huge mess until now honestly. The system in general has a lot of potential. But the content we students are getting to learn is not eligible for our grades. For example the content a child from class 7 learning should be eligible for a 4th grader. Overall, it's the government's fault for planning poor content in the books. Hopefully this curriculum gets some changing that will have a positive impact

I personally really like the finland system because primary school (or first stage) is 1 to 6 grade there (ages 7 to 12 i think), im not from the uk but personally don't like how works there... its not the worst maybe it can work if the teacher are good but still an 11 years old or even a 12 years old going to the same school where 15-17 years olds go... well I don't like the idea too much and i feel an 11 years old and maybe 12 years old needs more time to mature because they aren't even a teenager. (Sorry if my english is bad)

I like to compare the education system to running a mile. Most countries focus more on who can run the fastest. They are constantly trying to one up each other by seeing who can run the most difficult mile in the quickest amount of time. Finland on the other doesn't seem to care much about how fast they can run the mile. Instead, they are more focused on enjoying the view as they run. Sometimes I think we could all stand to be a bit more like Finland....

Nordic countries are the best at polishing their image . Their system has been promoted as the best, the most this , the most that, the happiest countries, but the reality is that it had failed immensely. Their social services are the worst in the world, inhumane and savage. They treat foreigners as less than them and they have no respect for other people's different culture and backgroung which tells a lot about them. I am sure there are nice people everywhere but the general feeling is there
