Hi! Thanks for watching, I would suggest the mufflers or get a set that has the same length. If not, the tailpipes wouldn’t extend past the leaf springs. At least for my long bed, if you were a short bed I don’t see you needing to have them.

The recoil is 22 lbs which is quite a bit more than a lot of other calibers. That said, it doesn’t bother me. I mounted the Magpul Hunter stock which added some weight and absorbs more of the recoil and improves accuracy.

Uses it every summer for his garden, winter was getting rough to start so we threw these in, works well, he’s up there in age and is hard to get onto now so I made him a step that bolts onto the floorboard of the tractor so he doesn’t have to reach up as far with his leg

Action is super smooth now, just needed to cycle it for a while

I'm sure the scope could be. I believe if you tell Leupold what gun, caliber and ammo you are using, they can make a CDS dial for you.

@@GARRETT_GARAGE I have this scope on a axis 308. I bought the gun that way. Do you know if the cds can be modified to better fit the 308?

Sorry about it but the battery dies so fast that if I turn it off it doesn’t have enough charge to kick it over….since then put a new voltage regulator on it and no problems now so new videos will not have that problem

@@jeremyjames249 I haven’t had much luck with the CDS turrets. They’re close but I’d never trust them right out of the box without confirming each distance with your given load. I shoot ELR and I’ve yet to see a factory ballistic chart that was actually accurate enough for anything other than getting close

Nope not at all, shot many deer this past season with it all the way out to 150 yards and it was deadly accurate, I didn’t sinch the barrel down as much as the video shows

I sighted it in at 100, I believe if you do that and use the FTX bullets then your on at 300 using the VX freedom scope with cds dial made for those bullets

John McParland Jr after getting used to it I do love it, shot a few does this past season and gun was amazing, scope worked pretty good in low light. Yeah for the money I saved from going to a different store I spent it on the camo, my favorite gun that I have, although I would recommend ear plugs when you shoot it, when harvesting deer this was the only gun that kept ringing in my ears for days after it seemed like
