Sebastian, I have realized why NATO didn’t satisfy Putin’s request to join NATO in 2000. The reason is simply that NATO with US in this case wouldn’t have been able to lead this proxy war against Russia with the goal to split it into 18-34 areas. That has been their agenda for a long time. Russia is too big and too rich in resources to be a single integral country.

Europe, just like the rest of the world, needs, more than anything else, to be protected from the US. As if that wasn't bad enough, given our sycophantic subservience to the US, we have another source of danger much closer to home.. Brussels is one of the biggest dangers to Europe.. specifically the cancerous European Commission. Of course the EU is in panic mode.. that's a permanent condition as a meaningless, failed construct.

one important thing you forgot to mention, the type of "men" in the u.s. military. i live about 30 miles from a major u.s. army base and frequently see these guys in stores, restaurants, etc. and many times i just have to shake my head at what i see. the vast majority act as if they're still in middle school. very few of them could be called "warriors". and if they have to increase the size of the military, they are in deep trouble with what they have to pick from in the civilian population. then, what few of them have had actual combat experience are used to fighting "bedouins in sandals" that practice close order drill with sticks. you also have to consider that russian dna has not changed that much in a couple generations. these are the same people that decimated a far superior fighting force 79 years ago. it cost the russians a lot but a nazi flag never flew over moscow. and, had it not been for the russians a nazi flag would have flown over london and washington. nato won't stand a chance in a conflict with russia and will in fact end up having to cede territory if they ever attack russia. does poland, germany, lithuania, etc. want to become part of russia again? they better think long and hard before doing anything rash.

Thanks for this reality check, Sebastian. However, as the U.S. is a corrupt autocratic plutocracy controlled by the ultra rich, their corporations & powerful lobbying groups like e.g. AIPAC, every U.S. president or other politician is subordinate to the interests of their masters & donors. The same applies to most Western "democracies".

Seb is correct about countries arming themselves and making allies as and when required. Centralization of protection through NATO (=USA) was an excuse to be slack about defense including being lazy then end up paying through the nose for US products and all of the strings attached. After laziness and pro-US obedience caused the UK Joint Chiefs of Staff to turn on Cameron and force spending to be redirected to the UK's own industries. BAE had bought the Swedish arms companies (when Germany haggled over prices per unit and had low defense spending) and joint ventures with selected European states equipped the UK's forces well. The abiding problem was numbers in the forces and this remains. The UK also developed (quietly) defense systems and various weapons to be used by other countries while reducing alignment with the USA. UK companies also attracted partnerships with some European neighbors, Turkey and Japan. This occurred while the EU bureaucracy tried to force its Brexit referendum result to be overturned. It failed I also take issue with Seb re energy. Merkel's ruinous policies and reliance on Russia for cheap gas was audacious and mad all at once. Germany tried to mark up prices to Poland and Hungary and the latter traded direct without the sane horse-trading which caused the beginning of Germany's decline we see today. Poland bought gas from Holland which caused part of the region to have sink holes, France was late in maintaining its nuclear power stations and had to use energy from the North Sea gas/oil grid. In the meantime the UK's long standing partnership with non-EU Norway had, by 2019, shown that green energy generation at sea could drive down fossil fuel use. Indeed, the UK is the biggest exporter of green energy in Europe and established 10 SMR reactors in the Johnson period in northern England and Scotland. While Seb is right about the weakness of the EU, this does not apply to the UK and Norway. The same appalling quality of politicians seems to be a plague of the Continent but governments are not the same as people, innovators, and companies which make actual things and not monopoly money from social media advertising revenues and the other blight of our economies, the 'services industry'. The UK paid a high short term price for leaving the EU but is in the happy position of having global reach and business and cultural partners outside the US/EU axis. On the edge of likely success just in time for proper free trade from the BRICS trend, the UK still has a talent for having lousy prime ministers but has faced that before. The loose and cosy coalitions of Benelux, several Nordic states, German politics ready for a shock (much needed) and probable collapse of the French political edifice are self-inflicted wounds which cannot be blamed on Russia or largely on the decaying USA and southern Europe is making the right changes -- again in time for the BRICS model. Poland and Romania need to rethink NATO dominance and obedience to the US government style no matter who wins the White House. The USA is actually a uni-party state of an elite and the rest and is not a democracy. That could change if some states loosen ties with DC and it could be rapid when the economic strength of Asia finally sinks in. Russia does not want any more territory but it won't allow shuffling east even as Ukraine becomes a new state. That is why Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and Turkey need to save the Black Sea end of the Eurasian economic region and turn sideways to the USA and EU as countries of great individuality and composition which happen to be neighbors. Their people have the right to shine, as Hungary does for its small size and language hardly understood by many in the European Parliament. Hungary's talent is in action and transparency. Offending self-perpetuating elites is merely honesty when it is needed. Poland's people need to be rid of leaders who bow the knee to Brussels and DC and be quick about it. Just moaning about how bad things are could rob the Poles of chances as developments are gaining speed worldwide and for the better as self-determination is so very close.

Actually, China hopes Europe can be a pole in multi-polar world to balance against Russia, US and China. But unfortunately, Europe has sold itself cheaply to US and made Russia an enemy. A good balance of 4 independent poles would have balance the world power better. Europe has lost the art of power balancing.

If Trump does return and can actually do his job my thoughts of what he will try to do in regards to outside the US from the US stance. 1) He's likely going to try all he can to bring Ukraine to the peace talks with Russia along with others but knows he really has no power over Russia to get Russia to give in and from their point of view rightfully so. Really Trump is likely force to broker a better look on what was going to be a defeat either way but it's hard tell as of now what that outcome will look like. 2) He will try to improve the relations with Russia and try to get Russia to be a partner of sort in the long term of creating some sort of major player as a middle man between other nations in the world. As the US and generally speaking Europe lost a lot of respect in one way or the other in a lot of countries but those same nations aren't comfortable with China either and will look at Russia as one of the big players to keep them or give them a feeling of a improved outcome on something regarding others. This could help the US in time rebuild relations with those nations if they feel Russia is middle man between them. 3) Europe has only itself to blame and yes the US isn't this angel or villain in this world like anyone else but come on Europe you and you alone are mostly responsible for the state of your own borders and internal affairs and blaming the US for what you done to yourselves is not only dishonest it's pathetically embarrassing. The US is giving you the F U that you frankly deserved for a long time coming and you have nobody but yourselves to blames. This doesn't mean we will lose all relations but we won't be in relations with the old political guards of your nations that's for sure. 4) The US will do whatever it can to get others to counter China and as much as eastern-tards can be dumb and blind as western-tards the reality is everyone and their current partners do not want China to be top dog in this world let alone a strong one with no means to counter it. Again Trump will be trying to get Russia to help them on this one as Russia as already done so by cucking them with NK and in Africa alone. 5) NK is going to be a issue for everyone now in the long run because of Russia opening them up now but it could also be a blessing for everyone as well but as of now not sure what to say about this. One thing is clear Trump is going to have to find a new way of addressing this matter. 6) The US is going to play games with the Iranian government and try to overthrow it by supporting the moderates factions and grow stronger relations with nations in the region against Iran and deal with their annoying proxies doing as much harm as the US has done. I think the Trump know he can only do so much before Russia has a say and play another middle man between here and there but even Russia knows Iran isn't a friend either and will like it not being what it is. 7) Within our part of the world within the Americas all efforts to deal with major crime groups and other threats will be dealt with and focus on. We won't likely sending troops to control places but the SF guys will be working over time for sure. Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, Haiti and I'm currently forgetting another off the top of my head are going to be looked at much more than normal.

The only thing that Trump is good for EU is maybe stopping WW3. For everything else, we need to stop this bs green and woke agenda, make peace with Russia, and restart our economies without going into 1984 territory!
