So many kids are out here angry and walking around with so much guilt and hatred but if you did not tell that person you cant hold them responsible...now on the flip side of that if you told her and she did nothing that's a different story but desperation will make a parent make hard decisions and where was your father why was he not watching you. We all just have to do better to make sure things like this don't happen but the level of shame, hurt,pain and generational stuff keeps happening due to SILENCE...please speak up and tell as many people you need to until you get the help you need.

One of the most important roles we can ever play in a child's life is to protect them. We provide from birth unto adulthood but protection is providing them security/safety. Please parents remember money comes and goes but you get only one childhood. Don't let no one take theirs.

That's because the focus used to be in being together. We used to know that after opening gifts at home all the family was going to gather and we got to hang with our fav cousins. Now it's too commercial .

No, it is not the same and it hasn't been the same for awhile. You would hit 2 or 3 different relatives houses, bring the gifts you had, get the gifts they had for you and get a plate of dinner wrapped in foil then go to the next relatives house. By the time you finish your had eats for a week or more plus some nice gifts. Now, there is no feelings about this time of year other than you and others really want this to be over. Hurry up and come January.
