Ah! OK. NOW I get it. I didn't see the value of the transparent OLED screens at all until I saw this video. Transparent OLED has VERY little practical application in the real world (even in commercial applications) outside of some corporate showpieces in lobbies and entryways, but once you pair that up with a touchscreen interface, THEN the value-add becomes apparent. I don't think LG really touted the touch-screen element of these when they were first shown off at CES 2024 is Las Vegas - they should have. Once you add in the touchscreen component, that's where the entire transparent OLED concept actually starts to present a viable use case for businesses. They should have been leading with this element of it from the very start, right out of the gate with this product. I think they would have captured far more mindshare for the product if they had.
