Hi Kent, I'm just gathering parts for the upgrade and I have a few questions: Steering links, I have found some JLB Steering Tie rods that I think I could combine with 32mm turnbuckle shafts from Tamiya to get the 45mm eye to eye distance. What did you use? Where did you get 3x53mm rods? Or did you cut them yourself? I am also having trouble finding the 37mm M3 stepped screws, what part have you used? Any help would be very appreciated, thank you for all your hard work :)

Top upgrade ! Thanks a lot Kent. I want to print it, what filament do you use or would you recommend ? PLA max is good or should we use stronger filament with carbon ? Thanks for your advise.

Thank you for your viewing and guidance. I use PETG and the filling level is 100%, which means each layer is the bottom layer.

Hey man, extremely impressive upgrades. Fabricating the parts from metal seems extremely challenging, would this be possible using 3d printed materials? Have you considered creating STLs for this upgrade? Our collection of Tamiya cars is almost identical, of course mine don't have your awesome improvements :)

Printed the rear part already but I have problems with the ball joints, any special settings on the printer to make em separate easy as in your video? I have to knock the balls with a hummer to unstuck them but the break easy. Maybe a design with bigger tolerance?
@gordinir76 ай бұрын
To answer my own question I have adjusted in prusa extrusion multiplier from 1 to 0.90 and now they came out perfectly. I have also road test it. Handles better, rear suspension is there but oversteer way more since it now has longer wheelbase, also no willies 😢. I am running on 2S lipo and sport tuned Tamiya motor.
