Yeah, they're still getting the job done. The more people that come out though, the more I feel I need a few more to cover more of the audience. I see in your detail you did floating platforms. My show goes about 40 minutes but I need to add music too it. I have Cobra gear also. Had about 9,000 shots various effects. Is the 6 minutes part of your show or the whole show? Some crossette spreads multi-color would do well. Cool show.

Our house is on a 40 acre lake. I do a show there. Did it for over a decade in a different area. The lake are you shooting on barges? What are you using for the sound system and placement?
@TheNovicePyro2 ай бұрын
That’s a nice size lake! Wish I had that kind of space for sure. My sound system is the Rockville RPG-152K package with subwoofer. It covers my area of the lake well but I wish I had a way for others around the lake to hear it better… If you’re looking for a lot of coverage 100+ people, as it sounds like you may have a lot more space, you might want to look into something more powerful. The QSC systems I’ve heard a LOT about in the pyro space. You can read more about my audio setup here: www.thenovicepyro.com/episode-2-upgrading-your-audio/

Thanks man! The best option is to take a PGI training course from a certified instructor as it is the most widely accepted certification. There is one being held in August in Brainerd MN August 3rd at the PGI convention if you can make it. Otherwise local training pops up in various places in the spring months. This page lists upcoming courses. pgi.org/pages/display-operator-course/

@TheNovicePyro2 ай бұрын
Appreciate that! I am using the RPG-152k speaker package from Rockville. In my case, I place them on the sides of our beach and point one at the people on the beach and one at the people on the lawn. This gets the best coverage. Typically you would place in front of the audience though if you have the space. These work great for my small space but I’m starting to grow out of them as more people come to see the shows.
