Great for charging phones or other tiny loads, but this isn't a good way to run things like resistive heating pads, which actually use a lot more juice than you think (usually around 150 watts). The math just doesn't add up for this being worthwhile for heating.

Also, don't let these people on here who say, "fire hazard" bring you down or demotivate you. When you are on a budget, this is what you do. You get what you can, put it together, see how it works. So long as you are sizing your wire sizes in accordance with the current ratings and using fuses/breakers for short circuits, you will be fine. People on here pumping FUD are probably too afraid to go into a pool w/out a life jacket on, never fell out of a tree as a kid, and never rode a bicycle w/out a helmut.
@honeybadger61272 ай бұрын
that "MPPT solar" controller is probably just a PWM controller based on its size. However, for your setup, I wouldn't sweat it. If you scale it up though, probably best to upscale your next solar controller.

@@michaelchownyk5255I use a USB plug from the solar panel to the ego inverter. It'll charge like that so most solar panels that are modern have mc4 connector out and then also allow you to plug in USB devices. So you plug it directly from the USB output of the solar panel too. The go power supply. I don't know you might have a problem. If it won't run on a small fridge I would get a hold of eagle and let them know you got a problem cuz it does great for me
