The US raided a sovereign country disobeying all warnings from the Mexican government, Mexico only defended its sovereignty with inferior weapons and it is natural that the Mexicans rejected the raid of 14,000 soldiers to find a single man, in some places they were rejected by children with stones (Parral ), Mexico did not seek aggression, nor did it shoot first, on the contrary it only defended itself and an example of this is that in the end Mexico returned the prisoner soldiers.

It's only socialism if it benefits the average American. So, taxpayer subsidies and bailouts for multibillion dollar corporations isn't socialism but taxpayer money benefitting taxpayers for student loan debt and universal healthcare is socialism.
@historyourheritage9 ай бұрын
Thank you for the interesting response. Government sponsored Corp. socialism vs. individual socialism. Well, when the govt. bailed out the car companies, too big to fail, it was trying to keep over 4 million people employed who would have otherwise been force to go on welfare. Who knows how many workers from subsidiary suppliers would have gone out of business. That could have sent the country into a major economic down turn. The congress approved that bailout. Student loans were approved by congress under Article 1 sec. 7.All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. Congress did not put a mechanism in student loan legislation that allowed the President to "with a swipe of his pen" forgive student debt. That would have been in effect a tax or revenue bill. because the govt. would have to appropriate the funds to paid back the banks. Those funds can only originate in the house. The President should have proposed that legislation. Universal Health Care also known as socialized medicine or one payer system is the very definition of socialism. The government decides min standards of health care. That is something the House has to propose and pass. Then the senate has to pass it. Then it goes to the President for his approval. Again thank you for your response.

Firstly, Income Tax, Federal Reserve. Wilson insisted on the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. If Wilson had pushed for a United States of Central Europe, under Vienna (he could have done it) the stability this state of could have provided for Europe could have obviated WW II. This man was a terrible Presedent.

Was robber Barron the term because they would practice unfair business practices and rob the competition of business?
@historyourheritage Жыл бұрын
That is an excellent question which I will answer in my next video. I will say the definition of the term Robber Barons is "a person who has become rich through ruthless and unscrupulous business practices (originally with reference to prominent US businessmen in the late 19th century). "both political parties served the interests of the corporate robber barons" However, there is more to this label than the dictionary definition. Stay tuned. Thank you for the question.

Wow Pres. Wilson could not help screw up both sides in the Mexican Revolution and get Yankee hatred going full blown. Thanks for the video including on the Fiasco of the American Expeditionary Forces into Mexico, and the US Army Air Corp tragic amateurish entry into Mexico too, because Pancho was trying to enforce payment of a bad debt in Columbus, N.M. He alienated both Villa by first supporting him, then back stabbing him and withdrawing support and also the Caranza (Federales side) of the Mexican Revolution. It has taken over 100 years of Mexican and American relation to negate that dammage this Bafoon of an American President did. Of course Wilson, did not stop, but went on and his dabbling in Foreign Affairs caused other great tragedies.
@r.c.salyer3652 Жыл бұрын
I think most Americans including most if not all (Sen. Graham excluded), have learned their lesson, that the USA can NOT invade Mexico. It will always end in disaster and for nothing. Now with the Ethernet and Wifi, and invasion would be quickly nullified by thousands of Mexicans blocking their way at every step of the way sabotaging them. Should have listened and heard about Napoleons fiasco in Puebla trying to collect a $600K debt.and not repeated it. Hey, but Pres. Wilson has been known to be the absolute WORST American President in the 20th Century. Biden though, is trying to give Wilson a run for his money!
