There was a B9 on the service too covering NK59DMU, which had a RTA and thankfully returned to service on my last day in whitby so i was able to get it

That was the original plan, however Durham broke it badly and it was never preserved from what I’ve been told. Although, I may be wrong as it’s only what i’ve heard…

Tbf since I squared took over theres definitely been an improvement in the maintenance, there’s only two or three blown exhausts left at blyth from what used to be most of them.

There are many alternatives, Wright GB Kites, Volvo BZLs, E200EVs, yet GNE buys flammable Chinese buses made in a sweatshop garage

Because they’re all about budgeting. Arriva’s due to get Electroliners and GB Kites at *some* of their depots soon, so clearly go ahead really doesn’t care about quality of their vehicles. Especially since GNE bought the U11DD for the 21, which has already had a unit off road for significant repairs…
