I've watched all of your videos on The Office over the span of 2 years. For some reason, KZbin didn't notify me that you had posted the Finale Field Guides. 1 - Shame on KZbin. 2 - These videos should be put next to the Super Fan episodes on whatever streaming platform has those. Whenever I rewatch The Office now, I'll probably pair the episode I watch with your Field Guide for that episode. If this isn't proper art criticism, I don't know what is. Thank you.

I never liked Jim or Pam actually. Everyone always told me they were the fan favorite characters but when I watched the show I couldn’t get past how much of a douche bag Jim is. Maybe this is how a lot of people think, but I never liked Jim nor Pam.

It's bc she's a cheater at the end of the day, emotionally cheating on her BF at the time for months, she sabotaged Jim's relationship with that one woman from the another office and she was an ungrateful wife and held back Jim for a long time. Jim was no peach either but if we're just talking about Pam, she was easily hateable for a long time.

Erin 100% deserved to get yelled at by Pam. She gave away company property to a complete dick.

Was this episode not great? Yep. Is Andy and Erin’s relationship poorly written overall? Oh yeah. Do I still love their reconciliation despite the little sense it makes? 100%

I wish people would just accept that people have different opinions instead of calling it hate. Some people are put of a little by the Pam character because the writers want you to accept her as a sweet shy innocent women. But her actions from ,S1 on are constant flirting with Jim. They call it " pranks" but its just Jims obvious way of getting into her pants. Now thats more on Jim trying to sabotage her relationship ,but Pam is not innocent in it. She leads Jim on all the time. To make up for that they had to put Roy down at every chance they got and they did. That felt artificial forced at times. For many it still didnt excuse her actions. Same with treating Jim quite bad in later seasons or sabotaging his relationship with Karen. That was ugly. Its a well done character and one they didnt completely butcher in later seasons like Kevin, Andy, Erin , Dwight...etc For me they never felt like this dreamcouple the show writers want you to see them. Pam is the only attractive woman in the workplace so Jim "falls in love" with her. Pam never had a good relationship so she falls for Jim but its just availability. When together they arent really that compatible and fight often. Part of that is tgat both often hide their true intentions .Its like the top cheerleader marries the high school football star. For the bleak world of DunderMifflin they are the stars. That makes her a well done human flawed character with traits to critizice.

This is my favorite episode of the whole series. I remember when it first aired, the part where Dwight turns around and he's wearing the dummy's face made me laugh so hard I literally almost fell on the floor. To this day one of the funniest things I've ever seen!

This was one of my favorite series on KZbin, your videos genuinely helped me through a lot of tough times in my life over the years. I really appreciate what you do and how you encourage us to think about deeper meanings in the media we consume. I will definitely be keeping up with your channel in the future. I remember when you did the initial season 4 field guides, I loved them and I was so sad when they were taken down. Any chance they will be re-uploaded? I lowkey miss those.

Sooo I know this is for entertainment and is generally pretty spot on, I think the problem here is you're not taking all of the 4 political points on the compass into account. Pam is socially liberal, supports gay rights, is somewhat traditional and vaguely religious. She's more authoritarian than Jim, but authoritarian does not automatically mean Republicanor socially Right. Jim is irreverent and just kinda does what he wants. Jim is similarly liberal but definitely not leftist since his main goal in life seems to be to reach a level of financial success.

Been watching your content for years and really enjoy it. Appreciate the work you put into it and this retrospective was very thought provoking. It's interesting that it was the theories videos that originally took off, because that's how I got pulled in, but the field guides are the reason I stuck around. They have very high rewatchability and (at least to me) are a comfort watch that rivals the office itself. So, good job buddy. Very well done. Looking forward to your Community videos.

My hot take on the Lazy Sunday/Lazy Scranton thing is that Michael was hyperfocused on pretzels and Kelly was probably annoying him. Also, Michael was probably trying to stop her because he watched it and didn't want to hear about it again, because unless he was explaining it, it wouldn't be deemed funny. I could see Michael using SNL every week as a strange "divining rod" to keep him "up to date" on pop culture and use that as his basis to connect with people, especially those younger than him to make himself feel relevant.

It is nice for people like myself who do not create content to be able to see the ups and downs of creation. It really gives me an even greater appreciation for all that you have done. All of videos that you have created that took so much work, but more than that, the emotions of not having your content watched after all things were done and posted. That is really hard to continue on. But thank you for what you have made. It has been SOOO good, and truthfully, I think your pretty funny.. Dont get me wrong the cutaways are AMAZING, but you are clever and witty as well!

Interesting that you mentioned the Office Ladies podcast. While you seemed frustrated that it was released so close to the launch of your channel, for me the podcast brought me to you. I started listening to the podcast, and wanted to be as up to date on the upcoming episode as possible. So in addition to watching the episode, I'd read the Wikipedia page, and the Dunderpedia page. But then I came across your channel, and found your videos to be a great way to prep for the podcast. Over time, I came to look forward to them on their own - and really enjoyed the perspective you brought. Anyway, I don't know if there are others like me out there, but it's possible that the podcast wasn't actually a rival.

Chris, thank you so much for all the work you've put into this series. The whole thing is fantastic and it's responsible for entertaining lots of people consistently over a long stretch of time. I've always thought of this channel as having millions of subscribers and millions of views per video, so i think it's weird that it doesn't

Watching your channel since 2020, your Field Guide went hand in hand with the Office Ladies podcast. It was two side of the coin and loved your perspective as a fan. I didn't always agree with your opinion ("Hot Girl"), but I admired you dared to go there. Because a fan doesn't always have to love every episode....especially anything from season 8 (blah!). Glad you didn't give up.
