so im 35, I got my CDL recently and was excited to start driving.. One baby later I need to shift careers where I can not be away from home. I also have had addiction issues in the past which unfortunately led to a felony conviction. So I have a lot of barriers to starting a career. I am extremely hard working and willing to learn. Anyone who has any tips, tricks, or recommendations I would love to hear them. God bless.

What the hell does skin color have anything to do with technology?
@cintheciegeАй бұрын
Is that what you got from this. But to answer in short marginalized communities are not always provided the same resources. Example why do you see large number of people of color in low income wage job markets. Educational, communities, upbringing, wealth ect all play a role into career success.

At 18:53, Laura Belgray talks about a woman who would be ashamed to tell her husband she spent money on a psychic. JUST LIKE I’ve been to ashamed to tell my wife that I spent money on two of Laura’s online courses. I purchased the two courses because they were half off (they’re normally $200 and $100), so I spent $150 to learn about how to craft an About Me page. But, when I logged into the courses, they consisted of three short PDFs. That’s it. No videos, no audios, no slidedeck, no lessons. Just three PDF files. The 60 Minute Makeover was 87 pages of large print examples of Laura correcting other people’s websites. And, there were probably 15-20 blank pages, where she’d written things like: “Nothing to see here! Move along to the next page and let’s pretend this blank one never happened.” And, she charges $200 for that PDF!! The other two PDFs were in her About Me + Mini Bio course. One PDF was 28 pages of other people’s examples. The other PDF was 16 pages, and it’s hard for me to quantify what it was about. And, she charges $100 for these two PDFs!! If Laura had told the truth on her sales page, that we were actually purchasing three short PDFs, I would’ve never bought them. Because PDFs aren’t an online course. If I wanted to read about how to write copy, I could’ve bought a dozen AdCopy books on Amazon. Or, just read a couple blogs. There was nothing unique or different presented in Laura’s PDFs. It was the same old material you can find anywhere on the web. So, yeah... I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to tell my wife I spent $150 on three PDFs. I’m not just embarrassed... ...I’m angry. Shame on Laura Belgray. 😡

Skip to 45mins. Angel is great. Excessive use of the word like by the other two. Which I dont Like. Angel should have her own channel talks a lot of sense, and as far as I can recall? Didn't use the word Like? Or if she did? It was in the definitive term of actually liking something.

I have never been passionate about any one language or framework. I prefer MVC over other concepts, but I am an OOP developer at heart. I have learned many languages on the fly as the current job requires. Ultimately, programming is about problem solving. If you have the mind to solve problems, the language is really secondary. There are some exceptions, of course. C/C++ are sort of a mix between procedure oriented and object oriented... but still not hard to understand.
