I play with a bunch of groups. My main one is the 25th Infantry division. This was with some old pals from the 193rd gliders. ITs a mod. ITs kind of gross but its out there if you like that stuff.

i get it. I think its much better and has opened the door to a lot of new Arma Players were Arma 3 turned people away because of silly menus stuff and etc.

Good shit man. The NSV has a bit of a learning curve. The small mag size and high ROF can make it difficult to get the ranging right. A few tips for future use: Load the full tracer boxes. By default it uses the 4:1, which is okay for ground use, but for AA use you want the tracers to help get on target and find the lead. Second is to lower your ROF and use bursts/single shots to get the range closer before you really let loose. Try to aim high where the engine and rotor are to get either clip the wings or get it on fire. Or aim for the cockpit and try to hit the pilot. Chance are he dies or goes uncon with even a minor hit. NSV is hugely underrated for AA use but it does take that practice.

Nobody screams like that in any combat videos i have seen most of the time its rather weird how quiet everyone is while close to death. I mean yes if your leg flys off into one direction and you into the other and you are clearly concious then yes but those shots at those guys were at chest hight i would believe that would end this situation rather quickly and they would drop like a sack of potatos.

Every time I watch real combat footage the sounds are worse than the visuals. Unfortunately despite what the muh adrenaline armchair experts often tell you people usually do scream a fuckton when hit - in fact it's better if they do, as shock is bad news. Worst is when the voice modulates to this type of high pitched screaming. Calling for mother is also common. War is fucking scary and it's always better to have an MOS where you're more likely to die quickly, like armor. A HEAT jet going through your face beats dying for God knows how long after getting hit by shrapnel in some field.

i forget what mod it is, but was always fun in arma 3 to see people turning into a red mist and a puddle of blood when a 155 arty round or one of the big arty rockets impacts really close to them

These little bits of realism need to be standard in all shooter/war games, really changes your perspective, if there were no screams you would probably mentally celebrate for getting a kill, but this changes it drastically

I would say not entirely true. The military trains people in these realistic conditions to DESENSITIZE soldiers! This will make people MORE willing to kill, ignoring others pain.

they should limit the screams to woundings, the m60 would've ripped them to bits from that range there wouldn't be much left to scream about.. if you were using the M16 or pistol that might leave them wounded i could appreciate the screaming.. or a frag grenade lol.. something that would maim and injure should provide screaming rather than outright killing of a .30 cool mod though I like the screams.. they are too frequent though.. It'd be better if it were toned down a bit.

the screams are modded in, theyre from Ashyl's better sounds mod. theres an alternative to the mod that removes the screams aswells

@@henrykrinkle5647 Yo I was the one who ran this mission a while back, and as far as I know you are correct in that assumption. To be entirely frank I didn't know these sounds were added until I ran this mission (which was a test) and by the time I had run the next mission, the sounds were no longer present. This was despite an unchanged mod load order. I would say its safe to assume at this time that this audio has been removed from the mod or was maybe split off into a different mod or submod.
