Well, Ezran enabled Rayla alot so, Callum being a simp to Rayla is not a surprise to me. It's disappointing that Callum doesn't have much self-respect when it comes to Rayla, however, it's because of both Ezran and Rayla that he is the way he is around Rayla It's even more upsetting that the writers think Rayla is never wrong,about anything. I thought villains acted that way but,even Viren changed for the better

Callum more of a simp then a soyboy which is still not good he turn on his own flesh and blood for a girl who left for two years for nothing and never truly apologize for it and they stuff that she does and get away with too including the other Elves like the Sun fire Elfs is absolutely ridiculous i'm surprised the people of Katolis didn't have a second rebellion.

Yeah you're right, he IS a simp He also doesn't want to admit that Dark magic is part* of the reason he connected to a Primal Arcanum,twice. To the Sky AND Ocean Arcanums Once is a coincidence,twice is a pattern *The other part is believing that he could connect

I'm going to put my thoughts here, attempting to not spoil anything and I will be very vague with who I'm talking about. Firstly, I only liked a few of the faithfuls this year, that being the British diplomat, Politics student and Designer (If you know, you know). The British diplomat was basically screwed from the start (you'll see when you watch the series), the politics student was stuffed over in so many ways and he was my favourite one. He was nice, lovely, naive but he didn't do anything terrible or bad. He was the victim of something which I can allude to as "Stuffed over syndrome" later on in the season (can't say anything else for spoiler reasons). And the designer who was lovely, but wasn't the smartest person, however she had something happened to her near the end of the season. All I'm going to say is, the thing revealed in the last few episodes shouldn't exist going forward (If you know, you know). I think the traitors is an interesting show psychologically, looking at how 25 people react to playing a "real life" Mafia game and how they navigate it. It's good TV and is interesting, but it makes you worry about the celebration of manipulation and other skills to reap the rewards of the money.

Thanks for this video ! I did not know about these funny tricks ! I think that I understand how they work (when they do). NERD ALERT !!! BEWARE !!! The reason why the first trick works is because it relies on standard identities. Let's consider we have two natural numbers a = 10*m + n and b = 10*p + q, where m, n, p and q are natural numbers which are below 10 (thus, m and n are the digits of one of the 2 digit number we want to multiply and p and q are the digits of the second 2 digit number). We have thus a*b = 100*m*n + p*q + 10*(m*q+n*p). The two vertical products in the video are the two first terms of my formula, while the two crossed products are my third term. However, in order to make the video's trick work if the product of p and q is below 10, this is to say if the rightmost vertical product in the video is a single digit number, we will need to add a 0 at the left in order to transform it into a 2 digits number before performing the leftmost vertical product. For the last trick, the square root approximation that is given in the video is actually the first terms of a Taylor expansion around the highest perfect square which is contained in our number. Let us consider a positive number x (not necessarily an integer) and let n be the highest natural integer such that n² is below or equal to x. We have sqrt(x) = sqrt(n² + x-n²) = n * sqrt(1 + (x-n²)/n²). From usual Taylor expansion formula, we have (1+y)^a = 1 + ay + O(y²), where O(y²) is the error term of order y² (then proportional to y²). Applying this here gives sqrt(x) = n * [1 + (x-n²)/(2*n²) + O((x-n²)²/n^4)] = n + (x-n²)/(2*n) + O((x-n²)²/n^3) and here we get the formula of the video ! We understand that the formula works much better for big numbers because the error term scales, at worst, as [(n+1)² - n²]^2/n^3 = (2n+1)²/n^3 when x is close to (n+1)². Thus, the error term scales with 1/n, or 1/sqrt(x), at large n or x and the relative error term scales then simply with 1/x. I would end this long comment by saying that it is possible to improve this approximation by expanding around the first perfect square that is higher than x when x is closer to it than to the closest lower perfect square. For example, for x=48, we get sqrt(x) = 6+(48-36)/(2*6) = 7 with the closest lower perfect square, while we get sqrt(x) = 7+(48-49)/(2*7) = 6.9286 at the fourth decimal with the closest higher perfect square, which is much closer to sqrt(48) that is approximately given at 6.9282 at the fourth decimal.

Not to forget that it was Rayla who did the shit and she's the one who should apologize and she never apologized for a moment. Seriously. Sometimes I think this series values elves more than humans. Like, we saw most of Xadia, but we never got to see the human kingdoms, like Del Bar, Neolandia or Evenere. And I wanted to see Evenere.
@DragonGoddess1815 күн бұрын
Yeah, it's not really great that the show reflects the writers "Pro-Xadia" stance, especially with Rayla. I can barely like her since she never apologized As much as I want elves and humans to get along, I don't and can't pretend that the elves and dragons never did anything wrong

I like Callum because he's a character who's just like us. People trying to find their place in the world and they managed to convey that well in the first 3 seasons. And in the 2nd arc the writers try to make him have a development with dark magic and he tries to fight against his destiny. In the fifth season they showed this. How Finningrim controlled the situation by limiting his choices and making him use dark magic, which shows that if he can be manipulated by Finningrim, he can also be manipulated by Aaaravos. But I feel like the writers didn't develop him well. He barely had a relationship with Aaravos even though they insist that they both have an affinity.

I always thought Callum was kinda meh in seasons 1-3. His development always felt rushed to me and it didn't make a whole lot of sense how he's able to perform primal magic without a primal stone despite it being established that humans can't do that. Despite these issues, I didn't hate his character in seasons 1-3. In seasons 4-7, though, yeah he's pathetic. Him never taking Rayla to task for abandoning him for two years in season 4 or breaking into his study in season 5 irked me to no end because Callum SHOULD be deeply upset with Rayla for doing these things but the show doesn't allow him to call her out on anything. It certainly doesn't help when he prioritizes her at the direct expense of everyone and everything else. In season 7, when he was willing to abandon Ezran (who was struggling with the destruction of his kingdom and Rayla defending his father's killer) without hesitation just so he could run off and go live in the woods with his girlfriend, i wanted to jump through the screen and slap the soy right out of him. After these last 4 seasons, I can honestly say that Callum is, without question, one of the most embarrassingly pathetic protagonists I've ever had the displeasure of seeing.
@kalzium885728 күн бұрын
Callum is accidently the main protagonist of the show and the writers try everything in their might to prevent this. The writers seem to constantly fight Callum from overtaking the narrative. Callum is the only one interacting meaningful with the magic system and the only one that gets struggles with dark magic. What do the other characters have in comparision? Rayla has the moonshadow stuff. But it was only relevant in s7. And Ezran? There are essays on reddit why he is a bad character. I think Callum is a man written by a woman. Rayla is the self insert character for young women and Callum the ideal boyfriend. Rayllum is in arc 2 designed to attract the twilight audience or the Reylos from the star wars sequels. The pairing of boring female and moral dubiose male is a fantasy for woman.
@Manicpaniczone28 күн бұрын
Honestly, Callum is the lamest character. I especially hate how unimpressive his mage abilities are. It's never once made to actually feel special or unique. Not visually, nor narratively. Just lame. I could go on about how this show fell off so hard after s3, but you lost me when you called him a 'beta male' lmao. That's a stupidass take my guy.

I was wondering why you held these views but when you pulled out the book 40:03, it all clicked. You are a Muslim, right? I truly just want to warn you because it seems to me that you see this book as an idol - as the only way a man can act and see the world. Before I get off topic, yes, there is a fundamental problem with Rayllum. The show tried to convince us that Callum was in the wrong for not forgiving Raylla, even though he waited two years for her and she didn't even apologize to him. You're also right about the scenes where Rayla hoggs Callum's nose and where he claims to trust her even though she keeps secrets from him. And I agree that him running off with Rayla after Katolis was destroyed was irresponsible of him. That said, I feel more compelled to talk about said book. It was written by a man who claims to know everything about women, but nowhere on the internet does it say that he was ever married. I haven't read the book, but the quotes were enough to convince me that it is fundamentally sexist. It promotes views such as "men can't show weakness around women or they will be emotionally manipulated" and "men desire freedom whereas women desire love" - so when a man desires love, there is something wrong with him. I just want to advise everyone to be careful about adopting other people's worldviews. Relationships can only be healthy if both people love each other equally and also love themselves. Take care.
@everythinggirly916Ай бұрын
I agree with some of your points. Like the fact that Disney wasn't afraid to take risks back then. And Mulan developing from an underdog is what the remake butchered. However, the very reason why this movie exists is to break gender stereotypes, not confirm them. The point of the song "A Girl Worth Fighting For" is that each of the guys is imagining a girl which meets all his needs. But such a girl doesn't exist. When Mulan says that a girl should have a brain and always speak her mind, she's laughed at, but she doesn't need to conform to their expectations. After all, her cleverness is what makes her attractive.

I think it reaffirms a few, but I get what you mean. Though it must be said: There is nothing wrong with going against traditional Masculine/Feminine norms nor is there a problem if you have personality traits fitting traditional gender stereotypes, however there is a problem if you sway to overwhelmingly to one side, which in most fiction nowadays is towards the side against.
