I haven't read Colleen Hoover yet but have heard of great things about Verity. Love Dennis Lehane's novels, and Shutter Island is one of his best! I think I read Insomnia when it first came out. Some great books - and a great friend!

What a generous gift from your friend! I don't know if I can make a prediction of what you'll keep, but I'm sure that those who frequent Little Free LIbraries would be happy to find any of them.

The only one of those I have read is Insomnia. It was many years ago. I remember liking it but being confused at times by characters or elements that seemed unrelated to what was happening in the story. I later found out that some of the confusing parts were related to elements from his Dark Tower series which I have not read. Enjoy the new books!

Hey Jess, it seems we both read A Clockwork Orange this summer 😊 my review is literally coming out tomorrow so I was shocked to see it on here 😅

The fact that some of these books are/were banned is difficult for me to wrap my head around... september looks like a potentially really great reading month though! I read the book of longings by sue monk kidd but it wasn't my favourite so definitely curious what you will think of the secret life of bees!

I've never seen the original Beetlejuice! I need to catch up. And I haven't read any Colleen Hoover or The Clockwork Orange! The Handmaid's Tale is excellent. And the TV show on Hulu is amazing - one of the best TV shows we've ever seen. The Secret Life of Bees is a wonderful novel - I think you'll love it! Potholes sounds intriguing. Enjoy your September books!

Great TBR! I just finished “The Paper Menagerie” by Ken Liu, just started “After Oz” by Gordon McAlpine and after that one my other 2 Sept picks are “For Your Own Good” by Samantha Downing and “The Music of Bees” by Eileen Garvin. We must be the bee readers for September!
