My brother sent me a picture from Florida of a P 80 lower. He got where on the rear there is a grid that needs to be removed. I watched him destroy 3 P 80 Glock compact frames one after the other and he tried everything a knife file clippers the Dremel why is that grid there? I’ve never seen it on any other frame before 80% said the feds did that to make it hard to do well it’s impossible three lowers were destroyed. Absolutely insane.

Don't use a dremel for the tabs. If you overdo it, it will result in an unsightly dip in the frame. Cutters or snips give you better control and clips it off instantly, then file until flush if there is anything left.

Comming from someone who's been building P80s for years, this is the best tool for the job by far. Frett cutters, a drill, and a dremel for the channel are all you need to finish a p80 frame in 10 minutes or less.

This is a fast way to remove the tabs, but I can do just as good a job with a utility knife. Unless your a luthier or someone who builds a lot of polymer 80's this is a tool that wouldn't see much use.

Fret cutter, smooth dremel, sand that baby nice and even, slide should rack no problem also make sure to do good clean up on you channel you should be good rest is easy

I wonder if this has effect on the frame . I had to file mine down with a dremel a year ago . Sadly I got rid of it . Both of em and now I need to get a new batch before the new law kicks in . I’m fine tho I have two other decent handguns . So fawget about it
