Yeah the actors had incredible chemistry. I think if not Hermione, Luna was best for Harry. Other than Hermione, Luna was the only one who really knew how to talk to him, she knew how to read him and what to say to bring him out of a funk. She wasn't clueless like I think many thought, she just didn't give his pain attention, she helped him look past it. Harmony fans, like myself, point out the countless moments Harry and Hermione are there for each other and say without Hermione, Harry would have failed. I'm sorry, I disagree. Luna Lovegood would have been Harry's next option if Hermione had ditched him in HBP, like she seemed ready to do. Ginny and Luna both were decent options for Hermione replacement. Ginny wasn't as smart as either, but resourceful enough to keep Harry and Ron alive, while Harry (no longer needing to rely on Hermione to come up with a plan) would do the heavy thinking. Luna on the other hand is smarter than Ginny and a better fighter than Hermione. If Hermione left the group, Luna would have picked up the slack.
