It's not what she said its how she was made to talk, like a ditzy dumb blonde. I'm sure she doesn't talk like that IRL, which means it was concocted specifically to sound ditzy.

Also back in the 80's people were throwing knucle balls and screwballs way more often, those are coming in the high 60's low 70's.

The movie is full of situations like this one. Some more evident,some more subtle. No doubt anachronism is so effective in comedy and Mel is really good using it. I love this movie, I just re-watched yesterday!

I’m going to check out Summer camp and bad boys tomorrow. Summer Camp has a 9% on RT lol. I have to admit the last few movies from Diane Keaton Mack and Rita, maybe I do haven’t been the best. Thursday I’m going to check out The Watchers. I have no interest in Garfield either.
@DIHUpodcast2 күн бұрын
Critics never really enjoy these old people movies. So hard to take the RT scores seriously. How many movies do you see a week? I feel like you're putting out a new review every other.
@RavensOsFan892 күн бұрын
@@DIHUpodcast I try to see 3 a week with my amc pass. I usually double up one night. If I get screeners in between I may see more in a week. Just depends.

That's crazy. I wish I had the time for that amount of movie. It's awesome though. Its always cool to see a new review from you.
@RavensOsFan892 күн бұрын
@@DIHUpodcast Yeah I plan it all out every week. I do realize I’m the exception when it comes to free time and how much I can devote to a task. The goal is to be monetized just as an accomplishment by the end of the year. I’m under needing less then 1000 watch hours now.
@DIHUpodcast2 күн бұрын
That's awesome! You're so close. I'm only at 2,200 of the 4,000 hours. I really hope you get there, you deserve it. You make great reviews and unboxes and stuff.

So you named two pitchers and decided that only those two make up the entire average across all pitchers? Learn what average means.
@jeanpagette50192 күн бұрын
@@DIHUpodcast How pitched then and now plus equipment has changed. Your 85 average according to Baseball America is highly suspect with a hint of dishonesty if we are going for accuracy. Chuck Yeager threw 105 mph also as another example. Ohh 1986 Doc Gooden routinely New you’re Mets routinely pitched mid 90s with a breaking ball still in the upper 80s. Won a world championship on on that arm
@DIHUpodcast2 күн бұрын
@@jeanpagette5019 You keep just saying one or two pitchers clearly demonstrating you don't know what average means. So this is just a waste of my time. Go look up what average means. Then look up what the average was in the 80s. Then tell yourself you were wrong. Then maybe, just maybe, we can continue this wasteful conversation.
