I’m looking for a similar show. It was animated, said the stories were true, it had narration, but the subject of the stories was for a more mature audience. I only remember a few episodes. One of which, there was a girl who would do everything and anything to get sick so she wouldn’t have to go to school. One day, she’s apparently sick with a condition that makes her foam at the mouth, and the doctor knows she’s faking, but plays along anyway. I don’t remember how that one ended. Another story, two boys keep making prank calls, but they send the emergency responders to their house. At the end of the episode, we see that they’re ghosts when they leave their house by walking through the walls. It’s not the animated Tales From the Cryptkeeper, it’s not Freaky Stories, please help out a fellow cinephile.

I'm 31 years old and just watched the series again. I didn't know about the sequel spirits?? anyone know about it? I'm gonna check it out. also really watched Digimon season 1 and 2 (the best) 3 is great too BUT I DISCOVERED A FEW YEARS BACK THE TRI MOVIES WITH THE OG CAST AND VOICE ACTORS AND IT'S AMAZING SO CHEKC THEM OUT TOO. I haven't watched the "final" movie (idk idkf they making more) it was the one where if the digivolve they'd be closers to losing their digimon.. I just can't bring myself to finishing it :/

Checking in again 11 years later... Yep, it scared me way too much when I was a small child in the 90s. On the channel I watched it on, it played just after Hey Arnold, and just before the 6 PM news.

I forgot the show even existed. The only thing that I could ever remember of it was it was a true story it happened to a friend of a friend of mine, but watching this intro holy crap I was teleported back to when I was eight years old, and I watch the show religiously.
