The sweater is adorable. I've considered making it for one of my nieces who is a dino nut. I just thought I might give you a couple of tips when it comes to swatching and kids clothes. Kids clothing I try to make sure that they can get at least 2 winters out of the piece. I always knit an extra 2-4 inches of length to the body and sleeves. The first winter the sleeves can be cuffed up, the following one it can be uncuffed (example). For little girls you could go tunic length or a short sweater dress and get maybe even 3 or 4 winters of use out of the same piece! Swatching. I'd like to recommend knitting a bigger swatch, at least 4" square or one pattern repeat plus 4 extra stitches on either side. This allows you the measure without pulling to get it to lay flat. Also this gives you a chance to measure more than one spot to ensure accuracy. In the spirit of that if it's stranded color work a swatch with both or all strands is better. Stranded color work tension is always tighter than non. If time or excitement to get started is a barrier to doing a big stranded swatch check out "speed swatching". 😉 You can always either frog it when done and use the yarn in the project, save them for a patchwork project, or you could put it with the pattern and yarn bands to build a portfolio of your work. Hope these tips improve your already awesome knitting. 😊

Hope you had a great time. Looked like a lot of fun. I liked that you left in the two of you being zany. Yeah, cash is big at conventions and markets here. Partially it is budgeting but also people are worried about security and trust with transactions. While debt, credit and tap are big at restaurants, retail, and big box stores, cash is seen as safer when in doubt.
