Note : you can get a Memory Stick Duo Adapter + a regular SD. I actually got a MS adapter + micro SD adapter + an unexpensive 32 GB micro SD fully working. The maximum capacity supported in the MS slot is 32GB. The CF slot accepts at least 128GB , but such massive storage CF that would cost probably more than the camera. Fun video!

This vid just popped up on my feed. Had one for a couple of years and one of 4 Olympus bodies I have. A comment below suggested try with a fast prime and he's correct although the kit lens is really capable and sharp. Look at the 17mm F1.8, the 25mm F1.8 (the Olympus Nifty 50) and for portraits the stunning 45mm F1.8, together they are known as the "Holy Trinity". I'm also looking at getting the LUMIX 14mm F2.5 which is tiny with fantastic image quality. All small enough to take out for a days shooting. Plus take into account the IBIS which gives you 3.5 stops allowing slower shutter speeds in low light and therefore lower ISO so less noise and better dynamic range. If you want a similar specced camera but with better IBIS, an extra dial and an EVF, then take a look at a used E-M10 MKIII which is my favourite general purpose camera and with an EVF better to use in bright sunlight (a rarity in the UK though).

Hi there, I'm a photographer working in South Korea. I’m currently using a Nikon P7100 and a Canon G10, both of which I’m really drawn to because they're As I mentioned earlier, I'm a commercial photographer, and I’d like to use these cameras for my commercial work. Recently, I tried doing a flash sync test because I wanted to use studio flashes with Godox triggers (X2T, X3) and a couple of universal triggers. Surprisingly, the G10 worked just fine, but the P7100 just wouldn’t sync I thought my P7100 might be faulty, so I bought another one of the same model. Now I have two P7100s, but strangely, the new one works perfectly fine with the flash sync! So, I’m really curious-when you use external triggers or speedlights, do you have any issues with the sync not working, like I did? (Oh, and by the way, I can use optical sync with the built-in flash, but I really don’t want to do that. I only want to rely on triggers for my studio lighting setup.) I’m not trying to push too hard to test something that might not be relevant if you don’t normally use triggers or speedlights. I’m just asking out of curiosity because, with it being such an old model and not widely used, I couldn’t find much information about it. I even contacted the Nikon service center in Korea, but they didn’t really have a helpful response and were quite skeptical about the triggers working with the P7100. I have a Canon that has no video… BUT it does work as a webcam because it has a USB out… did you try that?

Love my P7100 as my EDC. Just sold my P7800 since I enjoy OVF more and the IQ was about the same. I just set User Setting 1 to monochrome yellow filter and disabled the rear lcd and shoot with no photo review. So nice to just take photos freely and see what you captured when you get back home.

Don't agree. Never had an issue with accidental pressing of the buttons. But what is great, it invites you to actually USE the settings. To use exposer compensation, apperature setting, built in ND filter (it has it!). You can use full manual coz, you have two action dials free to drive apperatuere AND shutter. You can manually set you white ballance, picture tonality, It is great camera to learn photography.

I have that camera, it is a thing of beauty .If you add the 9-27mm F3.5-5.6 lens that has image stabilization, (and is very expensive) or I have tried it on a gimble and it works very well. 😎

I bought the a5000 a while ago, on a whim, to see if I could VLOG with it. I've included some of the footage from it in some of my videos, and people don't notice (That's a good thing!). I think more so I bought it because it was dirt cheap. I am one those "AVERAGE" people. I can appreciate that people still have this camera in their arsenals'. So thank you for this video. It gives me a better appreciation for this older tech, so I might dust it off and make some more content with it.

Over the years, I have used the Canon G5, G11, and G15 digital compact cameras. Other than my cell phone, it has the smallest digital sensor that I use for professional work. I also use micro 4/3, APS-C, and full-frame.

I like all your camera reviews! but, One thing I always wonder about these cameras is "DO THEY WORK FOR LIVESTREAMING?" cause cameras you'd think would work livestreaming just don't work right, and viceversa... For example we have a Canon EOS50D that is only a picture camera, but you hook it into our system and it works as a livestreaming cam... so maybe we could do a test with you to see which of these cameras you're reviewing work for livestreaming... do you smell that? Did you step on something? I think I smell a collab video, lol!

I think why camera makers tripped from CCD to CMOS is that the world was moving to the Movie. In that process, some CCD camera has advantage in the color expression.
