I bought a distributor and when I took it out of the box and checked, there isn't any marking or P/N on the distributor itself. Is this normal NOT to have marking or P/N on the item itself? How does the store knows what it is if they ever misplace it?

Hmm I would say it is not normal and there should be a part number some where. Odd for it not to have any markings on it but if you want you may just check if everything looks similar to the one already on the car.

Did the car happen to have fuel priming issues prior to the coil / dizzy/ rotor replacement ? My GSR has momentary issues with the fuel pump priming on start up which won’t allow the car to start , I’m hoping your solution will resolve the issue

@@fivefivesix-sevensixtwo4114 1998, I recently figured out what the problem was and why the fuel pump was acting up, the fuse box under the dash was malfunctioning causing the issue to happen every now and then, I swapped the fuse box out and haven’t had any issues since 🙏🏻

@@NguyenLeRealtor I'm in the process of rebuilding my 01 GSR. I have a 92 LS that had fuel pump priming issues. It turned out to be blown capacitors inside the OBD1 ECU. Apparently it's a common issue. That's why I asked what year was your car.

@@fivefivesix-sevensixtwo4114 I have heard about those capacity issues, I first checked the ECU to see if that was the problem and it wasn’t , so after numerous troubleshooting , finally narrowed it down to the fuse box of all things ! Damn

Hey Vic, quick question. I am trying to do this as we speak. I have the rotor in the 3 o clock position, but there seems to not be a screw in the other side. I’ve tried all moving it in all directions and no screw… could it be that the rotor is fixed on the distributor?

We dont know how into Import Alliance in your area youve been historicly, but some more actual info on like the history of IA would be of huge interest, especially to viewers outside the states, like us. Also as a last tip, always intro with who you are and what you own so every new person on any video knows who you are and what you have to get connected. In the start of this its a lot of people, and our instant thought was who are they to you? But we were paying attention the whole way
