Oh, so Shaft was in fact always weird. On another note, does anyone know where I could find this anime in non shit quality (for download)? Nyaa only has 480p, but I imagine a 720p version should be out there somewhere, right?

This aired back in '04, so if even if you found a 720p BD rip it's almost certainly just been upscaled from the original 480p. I think your best option is just to cope with the original quality and make sure your media player of choice can upscale the video.

This one weirdest? Sure, it's weird but it isn't even top of Shaft weirdness, Arakawa Under the Bridge and Sayonara Zetsobou Sensei opening are much weirder. I don't know what drugs creators of these opening are taking but I know one thing: they are really strong drugs :D

Actually, almost every episode in this show (Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase) has opening which is at least slightly changed. They also changed the song a for a few episodes (or just one I don't remember exactly)...
