What amazes me... is that this is the 1st time I have been shown this demo cut! I have had this song on playlists for years (the final cut), but THIS CUT!!!! Its what I dreamed of hearing!! I have to revisit their catalog for new releases!! If I ever got the chance to talk to the Mondays I would want to know more about this song, The Egg more than any other. Its truly an original piece of art in my opinion. It really brings you back to that time and reminds you of how truly original some of their music was/still is! Its like I got to listen to this song again for the 1st time. As raw as it could get. I miss that time..., the music, the mood, the real relationships with people in those clubs. The way you bonded to the music not the social media aspect of being seen at the show. Being seen at the show was a 'give-in'... When people still cared about the music, not the selfie. You had to live it I guess.

It's a fuckin bollocks assessment IMO and a lazy one probably based on their drug taking attitude and Shaun's sometimes on stage performances? They blow Oasis out of the fucking water and far away with their musicianship. This is dark, pre ecstasy Mondays fucking superb working class white music? Where are all the working class white bands now? That's no racist view at all I'm just saying there's no young lads like the Mondays now it's all grime and hip hop?
