For most of my pre-teen years going to church on Sunday’s often included hearing the organist playing this piece as well as others like “Ode to Joy”. I miss live organ performances, like how the bass notes vibrate through your bones. It was almost exhausting by the end in a cathartic way. Beautiful music. Let’s hope for restoration of funding for public school music academia.
