Shooting accuracy does NOT matter at all, unless you need something for a perk, other than that i put those pts into skating and balance typically, 2 way and puck moving D give the nest all around stats, as long as you put pts into what really matter in the game, as you said backchecking, you're going to want speed and acceleration, maybe skate in reverse, if you can fit it into your build

Definitely agree with that bro! Shooting hasn’t even really been useful, only time it really is now is if you need it for abilities fr! 2 ways are super under rated too, I don’t see many people using them !

@@melmanthegreat As generally a defence first type of player, I love to build a 2 way D build, usually with some kind of passing ability, skating and heatseaker as I would generally sit at the point

When I play defense I either use a pmd similar to this build, or a two way forward (in 6s primarily) on defense. Two way forward can get everything a two way defensemen can attribute wise, plus better shooting and deking. However you cant get gold shutdown on a two way forward.

I won’t say waste cause I don’t think it’s the worst ability by any means but I’ll definitely say I think there’s a lot of better abilities that would probably benefit in more situations than all alone

ur first build it makes u make a skater build if ur just loading in and getting the tutorial, if not make sure ur position isnt selected in the lobby, go to the loadouts screen and press R2 or RT to switch to goalie builds, hope this helps!!

hmm good question, imo i would maybe lower speed and accel to like 92 maybe give a little more weight cause speed isn't as much of a necessity for 6s, then other than that I'd probably make the build to play way more defensive, but still give a good enough shot that you can still get heatseeker/seeing eye!

I always like to see what other defensemen are running on their builds to see if it can give me an idea for my own pmd, just like how some people like 90 defensive awareness but I can get by with 86 and allocate those points to new areas. Great video!

I’m not sure exactly which level tbh, I believe it’s between 40-45 but at level 50 you have all boosts and abilities (besides seasonal ones) unlocked so at latest level 50!!

Why are my boost still locked if they meet the requirements? Do steady strides and power skating need to be unlocked at a certain level? Im at 31

Yes, all boosts/abilities are fully unlocked at level 50, I'm not sure which level you get steady strides/power skating at but its def one of the last boosts you unlock, and then if you have any ablities/boosts locked still after that, they are seasonal abilities (like silver heatseeker) and all you have to do is get ranked in any EASHL mode!!

Im not 100% sure the exact level but its somewhere in the level 45-50 range i believe but by 50 u have all ur boosts and abilities unlocked besides seasonal ones!

if you are new to the game, the easiest controls to learn are total control, they allow for the quickest learning and it's basically one button dekes, if you're looking to try and get better at the game and all, i highly recommend skill stick as it allows the most freedom, the dekes and controlling your player takes a little bit longer!

I want to get better at the game and be able to score plenty of goals. I created your build and used it in free skate and I was scoring better so thank you for this build haha

Yeah so there could be a few different reasons: 1. u don't have the boosts unlocked, 2. u cant edit boosts or anything on the preset builds so if u try to change the boosts on the bones build or vector ur unable to, or 3. u have to meet certain thresholds for each boost/ability it tells u if u hover over it what the requirements are but for example one of the speed boosts requires 75 durability and if u dont have that u will be unable to equip the boost... hope this helped!

It has the attributes juiced that actually matter, stick checking, shot accuracy, shot blocking just aren’t super useful attributes, but the effective ones are increased, try it out I guarantee you, this build is great at defense and has no issue joining the rush when needed
