I Understand what you are saying, but I am just hearing about the Akada movie for the first time on this channel. The Jenifa crew made more advertisements on different platforms. Because of that exposure and advertisement, I personally will opt for Jenifa over Akada. I am only referring to these two movies because they are shown on this channel page.

I went to ICM (Ikeja city mall) on the 1st to watch (Everyone loves Jenifer) only for me to be directed to (Alakada bad & boujee) line. Me thinking that was the right line and i checked my ticket it was (alakada, bad & boujee)instead of (Everyone lives Jenifer) i asked and i was told that's the movie that is showing now😢 I couldn't say anything i just wanted and join to watch what i didn't intend to watch.. but the movie was great thou i enjoyed alakada but my point is they promoted alakada than other movies. Which isn't fair at all 😢

Strange but cinemas are always promoting the biggest films over smaller films because the money comes from the concessions not the films per say, so that helps the cinema make more… try paying them to promote you more. I worked at a cinema and they would make us wear star wars gear and all our banners were always of the biggest movies. Even the pop corn bags were of certain movies and those movie had all the best times… I don’t think this is only in Nigeria.

If people don't go to cinemas to specifically say they want to watch funke Akindele's movie,cinemas won't be showing or promoting only her film. What cinemas are showing are based on viewers or audiences preference and choice.
