i am new to webcam darts, been with lidarts for about 6 months, and first time heard WDA, so I am really concerning about the choice of webcam, I mean lidarts use Jitsi Meet which does not allow the camera to zoom in and zoom out, and that could be a bit inconvenient

Yeah, I mean since we came out of lockdown, most of my darts are in person now, I'm not going to lie. My webcam was an oldie but a goodie. It was new old stock Logitech, but with high resolution which worked well. In the end, I worked out where I wanted it sat and then used a bit of folded metal bar to mount it off the side of the board.

I want a laptop as I want too stream darts on twitch I need a webcam but I'm not sure what laptop I need as I'm clueless please help me

Hi, it really depends on which webcam darts setup you head down. I've had things running on very low spec/old machines, however if you're looking to stream on twitch, the game changes. You'll want to use something like OBS in order to do so (what I used to film this). Webcam is personal choice. The camera I use in this video isn't really a webcam, it's been custom built and is a raspberry pi HQ camera which can take different lenses. Handy if you want to film from a distance for example. So, in short, it's not the playing of the games that needs a decent laptop, it's the streaming and processing that stream, especially if you want to do window in window stuff like I have in this video (you can literally have a screen like TV with score and a split board/thrower.). As a minimum I'd recommend a current i5 machine with at least 8gb ram but ideally 16.

This would do for an entry level. The screen won't be great high end though and it'll be a plastic build. If you're ok with that then in terms of specs, it ticks all the boxes. Do these apps read / process your scores ?

No, to do that would take some serious equipment, software and Calibration. Even then, only about 99% accurate with 3 calibrated cameras.

I've not tried it personally, but if you can download chrome and it's a newer iPad, I don't see why not. It's happiest chrome or Firefox. I unfortunately don't have one to test
