I've found tiles lift if they are laid on mdf. The mdf expands when wet and pushes the tiles up.

I have the nightmare of removing tile adhesive. Really it is thinset and was used to mount seashells to a wall. It holds them surprisingly well. You can get it in a color that looks like sand too. I am going to have to get an oscillating tool and see if it makes any dent in that stuff. I tried a low speed grinder (more like a car polisher) that has the same threads as an angle grinder. While it works it gets dust everywhere. I am hoping that the oscillating tool does it quick enough and would probably not send the dust as far.

Carbide is a must. Regular ones go dull so easily. That just gets worse with cheap blades too like the ones that you find at of all places Harbor Freight. They have good stuff there but don't buy their brand saw blades. If you need them a lot you will save money buying good ones rather than repeatedly buying junk ones.

When I first saw a tool like this it was the Fein Multimaster. Those are horribly expensive if you want the German Fein brand.

Wow a lot of these comments are pathetic, disregarding the video because you’re concerned about a tiny amount of dust. A little cement dust isn’t gonna hurt you, making one little cut doesn’t make it necessary to put a mask on. Do you all put on a gas mask when you walk through traffic? When did everyone get so soft, people work with much more hazardous stuff everyday, it takes years to kill you. Most of the people nagging here are the reason we have to put warnings on hammers about wearing safety glasses.

I mean, you could do the same job with a padsaw and a tape measure. That isn’t back in the day. That’s what everyone on site does. No time to do this method.

That adhesive is as soft as chalk. Try cement adhesive. 100 times harder.

As an electrician that does strictly remodels this is an absolute essential tool. kzbin.infoUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI Being able to precision cut any material with a light weight tool is priceless.I upgraded to this Dewalt 20v from a competitor's 12v. The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.

Hi - Great vids, really helpful. Can you do a vid showing coving removal with a multi tool - i read somewhere that a multi tool would be a good way to remove old coving (I have 5 rooms to strip.....) but there were no details. Any ideas?

'Not a lot of people know you can get sanding attachments for these tools' Really? About the same amount of people that don't know that you can get a saddle for a bicycle, I'm thinking. And that's the 'Smart' tool group, heaven help the 'Dim' buggers wandering around looking for a plug socket

If you cut your MDF to size PROPERLY then you wouldn't need to use a sander . Plus you shouldn't sand the face of MDF as it fers up. Only end grain should be sanded.😊

I spent years taking down/putting up wallpaper. The tools upgrade with the technology, but in the big box stores where the wallpaper stuff is sold, will be a hand held devise that will both spin & poke holes into the now nasty wallpaper, particularly vinyl. The oldest & smallest version I've seen was used in sewing, imagine a pizza cutter with zig-zag/spikes on the outside. Now I believe they can even be ball-shaped with 'spikes'. Rotate it good & hard over your wallpaper, Don't press so hard you damage the wall if you're ever going to paint. I liked to keep the tracks about 1 inch apart. The store will offer you wetting solutions, but I either used vinegar or fabric softener. Vinegar can be mixed 50/50 with hot water (my pref) , some use 1/2 vinegar to 2/3 water. Fabric softener is 1/4 to 3/4 hot water. I used a 1 gal weed/pesticide sprayer so I had plenty of hot water & could do a wall at a time. Let the solution sit at least 15 mins. Don't forget to protect the floors from dripping. BTW there are a number of DIY recipes for wallpaper paste (might not be appropriate for heavy vinyl or delicate coverings) I liked to buy commercial wheat paste, nothing to add 'cept water. Good luck!

Well that's fine for bolts that sticking up that high but what about when you have bolts that are tightened very tight and you're not able to get under the bolt
@Kingkong-gy5qt11 сағат бұрын
A grinder, bolt cutters. chisel out a gap to get the blade under.
@Kingkong-gy5qt11 сағат бұрын
You honestly shouldn't be using multitool for bolts unless your rich and don't mind buying blades frequently than go ahead but a grinder and file is recommended for this task.
