I’d say, impact blocking is for how long they can hold the block. Direct correlation to blocks he’d on defense. If u have a player with high impact blocking, they will hold blocks well n rarely get shed.

This is Big Boy football run the way God intended. Good stuff. And that pass off the fake reverse? That's a crusher!

Depending upon scheme I like to look for certain things at certain positions. I don’t know if people get that. The obvious one is pass protectors for pass and run Blockers for run. But scheme matters too. I like to run an old school power offense. But I don’t just recruit power linemen. I actually need fast guards to get out in front of power and toss. So I like agile there but my best luck has been recruiting agile centers and moving them. They are smaller but FAST. Like mid 70s speed. When I run power duo iso they are almost always doubling w the tackle anyways. I like power at Tackle. I need drive blockers. Big strong. Honestly I recruit linemen with the intent of changing all their positions. So I grab best available and reassign positions. After 2-3 years recruiting I wind up w a pretty good line for what I do.

That's the way to do it! I prioritize power blocking(run and pass) attributes inside (Guard/Center) and Finesse blocking at tackle. Like you, I like having speed at guard because run those same concepts along with Toss, ALOT. Good info GoIrish
@goirish659014 сағат бұрын
@@BrettmanFootball21 I can understand where you’re coming from with agile tackles to pass block and help on stretch and toss. And I’m good with power guards as long as they have SPEED. I think around 68 speed is decent. But I love having 70 plus. I try not to get to hung up on archetype w OL bc if their a power guy hit fast I’m good. Or agile guy with decent rbk pwr and strength same Idea. Like I said I move guys around a ton the first year or two and then evaluate new guys as they come in.

Power, Stretch, Iso and Reverse. Those are my bread and butter run plays

Love this video. Do you run any Duo or stretch? I use nebraska online quite a bit and jump under center quite often. I've also noticed that the boot plays are the best play action bc they have the lowest risk of negative yards. I would love to see more online gameplay. It's great having a fullback on the roster. Cheers.

Yes I do, alot of times it'll be my first down call this the plays in this video as my audible incase I don't like the look.
@goirish659015 сағат бұрын
Flip Duo to the one tech side. Like vs a 4-3 over run it weak. It’s OUTSTANDING. Otherwise keep running power. Counter really needs to be run to a one tech side too in this game to be affective. You can run Duo to the 3 tech strong side it just often becomes iso or power that’s all. But it hits for big gains weak. And if they bring a safety down weak you can motion to twins to widen him and get him blocked. Stretch is a safer no loss play than toss but toss hits bigger when it hits. That’s why I have both.

Do you ever slant your line, double team guys, or ID the Mike when your running the ball?
@BrettmanFootball21Күн бұрын
Yes, to all of the above.
@cutigeralum1Күн бұрын
@BrettmanFootball21 Are you doing these things everytime for every run play and how do you know which way to slant your line and which guy to ID?
@BrettmanFootball21Күн бұрын
I do not slant every down. I double mostly when running ISO. I double the nose(dlinemen over the center) against 3 down linemen. Fb dive, I don't want a double and would prefer the uncovered linemen to get to backer. For iding the Mike. Fb dive/iso - I ID the lber over the bubble. Toss - I ID the first outside threat to the side I'm running to.

@BrettmanFootball21 Over the bubble?
@BrettmanFootball21Күн бұрын
Correct, the video talks about what a bubble is and maybe better than what I can put here, but a bubble is basically a gap that doesn't have a defensive linemen in it. The "bubble" is the space between the gap and the 2nd level defender which is basically free yards if we run at it.

Thanks homie! What teams do you use?
@NightHowl864 күн бұрын
@BrettmanFootball21 Well, I live about 35 minutes from Clemson, so they have always been my team. I use alot of teams tho, teams I like to do dynasties with are Purdue, UConn, Boise State, Iowa. I always create my own Pro Style playbook, but I always have at least 1 4wr set & 1 5wr set every other set I have utilizes a fullback.
@BrettmanFootball214 күн бұрын
Love it. I'll be starting and streaming a new Dynasty soon with something similar to that in mind.
@NightHowl864 күн бұрын
@BrettmanFootball21 Awesome, I'll definitely watch that for sure. I love using UConn because they are Independent and so is UMass and they are rivals so it makes sense for them to join a conference together or just stay Independents. I usually play a season or two as Independent and join the AAC for a few years with them and then put them in the Big 10.
