I love the trope when the asshole suddenly does something really out of character.

I love how even though he loves talking shit and comes off as an asshole he's actually really good guy just below the surface

the way he puts his sunglasses and walks away after the one-liner is still to this day one of the funniest and heartfelt things Ive seen on tv.

i really like how this beautiful speech outshines what i think is one of the funniest gags in the show - "thats james bond's gun, didya know that?"

This is My favorite scene of Twin peaks 💜 I love the twist in this scene. At the start I was with the sheriff by projecting my anger onto Albert. I thought, "How dare he call the sheriff an Ape, the little twerp!" but was surprisingly disarmed by Alberts love for the sheriff. My heart swells up everytime I watch it. RIP, we miss you 💜

I _know_ it wasn't the intention, but I literally laughed out loud at this scene... Albert had been nothing but a douchebag up until this point, and now he's claiming to look up to the likes of Gandhi and King? C'mon son!

Give me a break. Albert inflicted mental and emotional pain everywhere he went. He just smooth talked his way out of another smackdown 😂

What a profoundly amazing scene. Perfect script, perfect acting, perfect placing in Albert’s character development. I love you Sheriff Truman is so funny and touching at the same time that it fills me to bursting. It’s taken 16 years of adult life (and a year of Buddhist meditation) but I’ve finally come to appreciate Lynch’s genius. I love how fascinated he is by people, and how deeply he loves them.

I guess Gandhi and King are ok about being an asshole to everybody as long you are not violent...

I love Albert. He definitely needed to be talked back to sometimes! This scene was great! It might have been the very encapsulated theme of Twin Peaks in general!

He’s just like me

When Albert was first introduced I found myself very annoyed by him. His nasty remarks and insults toward the characters we love made him seem like an absolute shithead. But after this speech I found myself seeing him differently. It’s like his snark and know-all attitude seeped away. I started to actually like him and realized he’s much more than just a city slicker shithead agent. A complicated interesting man. I wondered where he was when he wasn’t in any of the episodes. And when he came back to the office a couple episodes later and hugged it out with Truman, I thought “How could I hate this man?”. Such an amazing speech, literally altered the way we view him in a matter of seconds. R.I.P Miguel Ferrer. ❤
