I was about 17 (1969) when we used to go camping at South Newsham. One night about four of us went for a walk down to Blyth Beach. We walked along the prom towards the battery. We decided to have a rest in a shelter which might have been a gun emplacement. The light from the the lighthouse swept around as we entered .It was empty so we sat down to have a cigarette. After about five minutes as the light was swept around the shelter I looked to my right and a dark figure in what it seemed wearing a very heavy winter coat. Loved this video!. Brilliant and chaotic in the best way. Whitby is one of my favourite places to visit especially in winter when it is bitter and cold, and of course spooky. Deffo going to be going back sometime this year
