This turned out so pretty. I am trying to learn how to do this and so far. I am not being very successful. Do you use a spray varnish on the tile to seal your art? TFS

@tatteredpaperandlace2905 thank you. When I do seal alcohol ink, I use kamar varnish and then kamar uv protection, but I only seal a painting if I sell it, gift it or frame it.

I almost quit on a painting yesterday because of the dreaded ugly phase. This painting you did was so pretty! How did you get the skin tone color? Maybe I missed it or something.

@lauriebowen25 I think we've all been there. As far as the skin tone, I don't recall the exact colors used, but I usually mix colors and test them out until I achieve a blend I'm happy with. Thank you 🩷

Hi Jeanette, Thanks again for all you share with us. You’re amazing! I’ve been away for a while and want to continue with alcohol ink. I have the compressor and would love to hear you describe in detail how you hold it and at what angle to get beautiful petals. I’m in Alabama where the humidity is often sky high and I know that’s a factor, but I just don’t think I have the technique. I’ve revisited some earlier tutorials to see if you break it down but haven’t found what I need. If there is one, please direct me. Also, how far from the surface do you hold the instrument? I’ll appreciate any light you can shed on the subject….also, I just watched the tutorial with the a.i. markers where you paint a daisy. I had no idea how to use them. Can’t wait to give them a try!

Why does your paper not BUCKLE???????? From the heat gun?????

@karengroeniger4427 everyone asks that question. In this video, I am likely using kirkland photo paper which is the thickest I've found so far. I keep the heat gun moving as quickly as I can and keep it at a good distance from the paper. If you hold the heat in one area too long or too close, that's when you run into trouble.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea! I did my best to create little art/color/draw booklets for my grands for a recent beach trip. THEY USED AND ENJOYED! But this is ADORABLE and frankly I always have plenty of "duds" that are still "pretty-ish"! BUT YIKES ... THAT FOLD might do me in!! ;) Thankfully I am saving this video to reference! Enjoyed!

I've really wondered why just spraying paper with black gloss spray paint (or any other color) wouldn't work. Have you tried it? Also didn't see a link to Snow cap. I'm new to all this, hence the ignorance:)
