Thank you for posting these over the years. My daughter turned 5 not too long ago, and I discovered this channel when she was a newborn. When we would put my daughter to sleep, I would put my headphones on and listen to your channel to survive/escape/decompress. I specifically remember when the first Waves came out... it's crazy that 5 years has already passed... time flies.

I still remember the original. Much has happened in my life between then and now - some good, most bad. Before it all went down, I used to listen to your channel pretty much every night at work, but I haven't really had much chance to listen these past couple of years. Seeing this and being reminded of the good times I knew before is a breath of fresh air. It's good to be back.

Like many others, Waves was the first mix of yours I ever found, and it's how I got introduced to your stuff. I was pleasantly surprised to see a sequel! Feels oddly nostalgic.

Though I've never lived through the 80s, as a 22-year-old, I'm drawn to this genre for its exceptional structure and the sense of hope it embodies in every beat ❤‍🩹❤‍🩹❤‍🩹

I recently read that chillwave might've been started as a joke mocking a subset of vaporwave/synthwave... I cant imagine anyone thinking such soothing melodies are not good. they literally express a nameless feeling in my soul, a sad yet happy melancholy, the feeling of staring at the ocean after the sun has set, watching the last light drain out of the sky. Its a feeling that comes when you feel like your whole world is dark and pointless and hopeless, yet there is still some bits of beauty and peace to be found. You don't know if you will end up okay, you don't know if your life will ever matter to anyone once your parents are gone, you are lost and scared, but you just cant be bothered to care at the moment.
