@LtFrankDrebbin9 күн бұрын
I'm just using the Eley 32gram BB's for foxes at the moment. I will not shoot any heavier than that. For rabbits I will use the same in #4 or #6. I would much prefer to go down to 28 or 30 gram loads if I could find them in field size shot. I did start reloading but then primers dried up straight away. Thanks for watching.

I am from Melbourne. My father used a WW Greener hammerless shotgun when he was young and living in Dunolly, Victoria. I have a picture of him with it. I believe the people he knew still have it. Nice Greener looks like F25 or ejector FH25, game gun? Chokes?. I shot 6 foxes this year with my BSA s/s with BB, 15-30m, BB kill well and break bones. Wheres about in WA?
@LtFrankDrebbinАй бұрын
Not sure what model or grade, those marks are quite faint now. The proof marks put it in the 1896-1904 manufacture range. But yeah auto ejector chokes are 1/2 & full. There is something so elegant the way an old English SxS handles. Sometimes I think I don't deserve this one. And yes WA. Thanks for watching.
@bruceyeoward654423 күн бұрын
Nice, I have a Greener book with all the models & grades, with the serial no. I can date the gun. The amount of engraving is a good indication of grade, nitro proof 1 1/4oz generally 2 3/4" chamber, 1 1/8 oz 2 1/2".
@LtFrankDrebbin23 күн бұрын
@@bruceyeoward6544 Cheers thanks, I have done a little google digging just recently and found info that was not available when I first got the gun. According to serial no# I believe it is a hand made gun from 1902

@DarrylGraneyАй бұрын
I used to have a very old one of those. I got it in a take one take all deal with a sporterised .303 and a pump action Colt .44 carbine in 66-67. I wanted the Colt, but the only one I kept was the .22. What I really liked about it was the nice heavy barrel that shot straight and true over the years. It came with a cheap 2x scope that lasted as long as the rifle. The only problem I ever had with it was that the ejector didn't always work, but a modified little flat tip screwdriver was the solution. Nothing fancy about the rifle, but a great little piece of kit.
