Yeah, hard no when working full time can't keep a one bedroom/studio much less the utilities/internet for it and food. Forget medical, forget going out or having hobbies. No personal vehicle either. That's not "dysmorphia" that's the sad reality when you can't live anywhere remotely close to where you work because it costs twice what you make in a month.

This new rule for eliminated suddenly "Stretch IRA provision" is Most unfairly especially to those in Low and Middle Income Earnings ranges who were planning all of their lives for years on Stretch IRAs rules for 401k and Rollover accounts which were existing for almost 50 years and suddenly repealed when it's too late for some Savers and those who didn't waste their money but were diligently investing them through the good times and bad times raising Family. These 2020 new rules by SECURE Act are for non spousal Beneficiaries to deplete account within 10 Years on accelerated RMDs "forced to be withdrawn and forced to be Taxed within 10 Years".... That's just amazing change done by democrats and those who were happily voting for this. 😂 Now we all get to enjoy this new lifetime overthrowing change. The only way around is probably Rollover to ROTH Conversion agressively and Investing into ROTH 401k ONLY no matter what (paying Taxes due evenly throughout your lifetimes unless you are planning on early retirement in 50s and having 20 Years to convert Rollover to ROTH to eliminate RMDs from Age 73 -!: and your Inherited ROTH IRA and pay less double Taxes on your Social Security Benefits on which you paid Taxes already working all your lives. Rollover to ROTH Conversion strategy to convert in Lower Income or Market Down Times more Aggressively is AMAZING STRATEGY. 😂. We only wish Fidelity would suggest to their customers these Rollover to ROTH Conversions to especially younger customers who are at significantly lower incomes and with lowest in a lifetime Nest Eggs! Just as PLANNING EVERYTHING TO BE IN ONLY ROTH 401K starting out investing in life now. Also for those not being aware if in 2025 Tax Brackets would be Jumping by 3-4% for even lower Incomes due to sunset of TCAJ Act of 2017 they would want to fill out their Tax Brackets carefully avoiding IRMAA SURCHARGES if retiring in 2 years. QLAC strategy for getting Health Insurance subsidies would not be needed if a Person is Smart to AVOID RMDs at all costs and ONLY INVEST IN ROTH 401k and ROTH ONLY, as Taxes would only go up if you trusted them that Taxes would be "deferred" as it was designed to entice us to build a huge Nest Egg and Pay Huge Taxes on Inheritance via Taxes on RMDs being pushed to our heirs within 10 years probably at their prime earnings times and at the highest Tax Brackets of 37% and same for Retirees with Huge RMDs and unfortunately unforseen and not mentioned by most "advisors" Huge IRMAA SURCHARGES for most expensive of our lifetimes MEDICARE (which sadly doesn't cover Dental, Hearing, Vision and UNAFFORDABLE Medications $500-$5000 and up for most (as designed for those without subsidies who have more than $30k to pay a Small Fortune for their Medications), and most of Healthcare is being rationed with impossible Prior Authorizations being implemented to deter you from using Healthcare). When advisors are Young like on this show, they are not necessarily knowledgeable about MEDICARE IRMAA very expensive penalties coming to people with Taxable Income of $103k or more for Singles on MEDICARE (unavoidable in Retirement). Avoid RMDs while being Young, even if you are thinking to "defer Taxes" or "Pre-tax" is a good idea, as once you lose a job or retired, it's not going to be much more fun or lucrative to pay Taxes.

On all of these Videos you should add Taxes after 2025 year if Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 is set to expire after 2025 if no votes to set this as law permanently which may happen should people not elect Republican majority.

Thank you Fidelity! Please publish these Videos for Taxes Planning for Retirement and avoiding RMDs which hurt Retirees on Social Security Benefits by forcing unnecessary IRMAA SURCHARGES (essentially could be viewed as a Tax Penalty on Top of Social Security Tax Torpedo Zone designed not to adjust with Inflation to target much more customers with lower to higher Income ranges). Please make a video review about Future after 2025 Tax Brackets reversing after 2025 due to sunset of TCAJA 2017 Act to 2017 Tax steeper by 3-4% higher Taxes and 2017 Tax much lower 2017 Standard Deduction.

A part-time retirement job that YOU choose is much different than a job. Making just $10,000 is like having an extra $250,000 in savings, based on a 4% draw. Retired at 59, found the right part-time job, life is good.

One of my positions (mutual fund) has an additional dropdown question. If I want dividends and gains to be reinvested back into that mutual fund, do I select the radio button "reinvest in security" or select the dropdown and select mutual fund? Based on description it seems they are the same thing?
@Fidelity
@Fidelity 10 күн бұрын
Hello, and thanks for your question on KZbin. Great question! The default account-level dividend election for mutual funds is to reinvest automatically into the fund, while equities will pay as cash to your core position. However, there is a third possibility, and it appears what you're seeing on the screen. This is known as a "directed distribution," allowing you to deposit the money from the dividend payment into any eligible Fidelity Mutual Fund you hold in that account. So, to recap, you can reinvest, get cash in your cash core position, or direct payments to another mutual fund you own. To review or change your elections for eligible securities on our website these steps after logging in: 1. Click "Accounts & Trade" and select "Account Features" 2. Under "Brokerage & Trading," click "Manage" next to "Dividends and Capital Gains." 3. Click "Update" next to the position you want to change and follow the prompts You can also visit the link below to get started. Learn How to Change Dividends and Capital Gains Distributions: www.fidelity.com/customer-service/how-to-dividend-and-cap-gains-distributions Please follow up at any time if you have additional questions. I was born in December 1960. My dad was laid off from Union Carbide. And he took a Job with Sears Roebuck around 1963 selling carpet and floor covering. He was raised by his grandmother on a 169 acre farm on a mountain in West Virginia. He wore beautiful suits and ties. Drove used Chevy Impalas. I never did figure out where he got his taste in clothes and jewelry but it was unmatched. When Carbide called him back to work, he stayed at Sears. He had 30 years when he had a heart attack and died on the job in July 1993. When I took my mom to an investment company to manage the money he left to her, I was shocked to learn that part of the Million plus dollars he left was $230,000 in Sears Stock. Sears was a way of life for our family. From the nuts and chocolate from the candy counter to every Kenmore Appliance. Top quality.

Q: Can I utilize options in my Fidelity Roth IRA? 💵💵💵💵
@Fidelity
@Fidelity 16 күн бұрын
Thanks for reaching out to us, Will. Happy to answer your question here today. IRS regulations do allow certain options strategies to be traded in a Traditional or Roth IRA. There are 3 tiers of options trading at Fidelity, and approval requirements are more rigorous at subsequent tiers, given the additional risks associated with more complex strategies. Your financial situation, trading experience, and investment objectives are taken into consideration for approval. For others following along, Options trading in IRAs include: - Buy-writes - Selling covered calls - Rolling covered calls - Buying calls/puts - Selling cash-covered puts - Long straddles/strangles - Spreads (up to 4 legs) To apply for options trading, you'll need to use Fidelity.com. Select "Account Features" from the "Accounts & Trade" menu once you've logged in. Then choose Apply next to "options" under the Brokerage and Trading header. Let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a great day! Options trading entails significant risk and is not appropriate for all investors. Certain complex options strategies carry additional risk. Before trading options, please read the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options (www.optionsclearing.com/about/publications/character-risks.jsp). Supporting documentation for any claims, if applicable, will be furnished upon request.
