So sorry you are having the website issues. My computer decided it could no longer connect to internet because our network was unplugged! We aren’t in a network. Three days later it restarts and acts like it never happened. I was in the middle of writing a speech so not a happy gal. I think you’re being incredibly calm after everything you’ve gone through in the last 2 weeks. 👍

I am so sorry to hear about this as it affects so many wonderful people. KZbin has been a blessing for me mainly because of all of you. You’ve just proved once again that all of you are such a class act. I can at least use the ads for potty breaks or other distractions while they play through. I hope you find blessing in this sad situation.❤

I used 809 decor bond on all pieces. Followed the directions on applying the 809, it adhered nicely. But when I boxed the corners, it started pealing apart. I didn’t pre wash the fabric, was there a finish on the fabric that would repel the adhesive. Also, i had a heck of a hard time boxing corners. There is not enough room when sewing to keep them straight. Now i know why you do that off camera. 😮 would it be easier if the cut (boxing) is 1 inch instead of 1 1/2”. Thanks you for your video, I enjoyed your teaching style.

@@user-zn2ip9ro6v The instructions that are included with fusible interfacing, in my opinion, are not the best. Fusible interfacing needs consistent heat and pressure to properly adhere. I never pre wash my fabric. I have an interfacing video if you would like to watch that as well. As for boxing the corners and sewing off camera, the reason I do it is for editing purposes. I’m not hiding anything. It’s just much easier to edit one camera view instead of two. Plus the video would be twice as long. You can cut your corners whatever size you would like, but it will change the height and width of the bag itself.

@@SewManyCreations thank you, I will try a hotter setting when fusing. The instructions say Wool but it wasn’t hot enough. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to insult you with my comment about boxing corners, i just had such a hard time sewing them. Your sewing style is perfection which I subscribe too also, so i really enjoyed the video.

Great info. Thank you! I'm so sad i won't be able to attend this event. I agree about this community being amazing. I have been making bags since 2006 and thought there weren't many of us out here and then I stumbled onto Lauren's video for the Annette on Pinterest. And a whole new world opened for me. I am a newbie to sewing about 8 months in and was so inspired by your videos I wanted to give cork a try. The cork I bought is very thin and has no lining on the back unlike the sample piece I bought at Hobby Lobby. I really like the cork, it's beautiful, but i think it needs a backings. Can I make my cork work and how? Thanks

Those larger press plates will not go into the small handheld rivet plyers, because you would find it extremely difficult to get enough pressure to cut through any material, with a large cutting die-set, with the small handheld rivet plyers. You need the larger lever to get enough pressure to cut from any large die-set. Hope this helps cheers.
