Superb guitar tone... Reminds me somewhere early k Burrell trio's tones. Very nice rythm section also

It will never cease to baffle me why proficient guitarists like this make so little use of all their fretting hand fingers, pinky included.
@fred809714 күн бұрын
Why are you baffled? It doesn’t seem like it’s holding him back much. Looks like he’s using his pinky exactly as much as he needs to in order to execute the lines he wants to play. Peter Bernstein has a similar left-hand technique and when I watch him play, all I see is sophistication, dexterity and soul, not limitation. Similarly with this guy.

Are you aware of Django Reinhardt or Tommy Iommi? All that matters is that you get the desired result in whatever way possible or preferred.

The phrasing of the line dictates the fingering
@Ryan-dn1ch14 күн бұрын
@ yeah sure but this guy has all 4 fingers Jimmy Page, SRV, and Eric Clapton are others who just let their pinkies dangle.
@andrewwinzenburg83514 күн бұрын
@@Ryan-dn1ch because that's the way they preferred to do it, and they reached the desired result. Steve Vai himself once said that you only need to know what you wish to know to achieve the sort of expression that you desire. Those 3 are all incredibly accomplished and praised guitarists. Playing optimally and cleanly with great technique is fine, and so is playing messily or just whatever feels best.

@gustavlundgren16 күн бұрын
Thanks! That sounds like a great idea actually. Are there any nice jazz clubs in town?
@vecernicek216 күн бұрын
@gustavlundgren Yep, I like Jazz Dock the best. You can see a lot of international artists there. Beautiful modern venue, right down by the river, lots of good concerts. Second best is 'U maleho Glena', but that's a really small club. Another is 'U stare pani' club, sort of hit and miss, some good stuff recently. Sometimes there's good jazz at Divadlo (theatre) Dobeska. All the tourist guides mention Reduta, which is sort of a historically important place, but a tourist trap nowadays. I'd say you should aim for Jazz Dock.

The date of manufacture is usually on the label, in small print. But I notice that the label inside yours is missing? Those labels are rather cheap looking so I can understand why someone might want to remove it.
