wrong brothaman,,, jj fad was not the first female rap group to go platinum ....It was Salt n pepa with their 1986 album Hot, cool, and vicious, plus the single Push It going platinum. Get it right when it comes to history

"Supersonic" in 1988, this time as the A-side. It sold 400,000 copies independently before Eazy and Jerry Heller secured the group a major-label recording contract with Atco Records. The single was followed by the album Supersonic, which was also produced by Arabian Prince, who made J. J. Fad accessible to pop audiences-unlike many West Coast rappers of the day-by including electro elements in their music. Due to their involvement with Ruthless Records, co-producer credits were added for Dr. Dre and DJ Yella. J. J. Fad was the first female rap group to earn a Grammy nomination,[1] and both the single "Supersonic" and the album Supersonic were certified gold.[4] (The group believes the single sold a million copies in the U.S.-equivalent to platinum status-but this has not been certified.)[5]

@@CAMPTV They were nominated for a Grammy AT THE SAME TIME as Salt n Pepa. However, unlike Salt n Pepa, JJ FAD has never won a Grammy award.

Wrong!!! Roxanne Shante shut then down. Besides, they were not battle rappers. They would only respond if you mentioned them negatively. However, they never responded to Oaktown's 357 when they dissed them.

@@mikelenbody9691 you did not hear me right I said that JJ fad were the only females that would battle a rapper for the wins as for roxanne shante she was known for battling any one male or female rapper but JJ Fad had answer shante more times then shante could reply go back and checkout JJ Fad and shante battle vers

@@-MrGoogle wrong again. Look at what MC Lyte did with Antoinette. I like JJ FAD but, their response to Roxanne Shante was garbage. It made no sense for Roxanne Shante to continue a battle with them.
@-MrGoogle2 жыл бұрын
@@mikelenbody9691 Lyte lost her battle with Antoinette that war only lasted 2 diss rhyms as for JJ fad and shante shante diss JJ Fad 2 times and JJ Fad answer back 3 or 4 times to Shante but Shante still won that battle her disses were alot powerful then JJ fad disses but still like I told you jj fad went for the gold now case is close
