When they jump into the swimming scene. Notice how they take their masks off. Crazy because I never thought how dangerous it is to swim with a cloth mask on. Almost like waterboarding yourself.

It is awesome. The thing that drove me to martial arts was Monkey Magic - loved it when I started learning Bojutsu in karate in 1982. Since then studied Tibetan white crane, shitoryu karate and Vietnamese Vo BInh Dinh and Kenjutsu. However always been fascinated by ninjutsu history, visited castle in IGA Uenojo , loved this movie as it tied the ninja and chinese martial arts together. Given Ninja tactics were developed after studying Chinese texts brought by Buddhist monks including Sun Tzu’s art of war the movie is quite apt and as another commenter stated their is nothing like 1989’s movies - personal favourite sho Kosugi in Revenge of the Ninja , the other movie the ninja filmed in Philippines with Susan George etc Anyway thanks for posting this - love the opening.🙏 All the best from down under🙂 Lewis Sydney 🇦🇺

The movie of my childhood. I rented this movie literally 7 times. As a present on dvd i got the movie 15 years ago. Now i watch the movie with my son. He loves it just the same.

I saw this movie when I was a child and it motivated me in my innocent imagination to train to be a ninja today many years later it makes me smile because the shinobito and its complementary techniques are more than a martial art, they are a way of life. Thanks for the good memories. P.D. I made a hole in my backyard and tried to hide under the ground, my father was not as happy as I was. Hello from Colombia.

I came here since I watched this movie with my dad since it's his favorite kung fu-ninja movie while seeing Hiroyuki Sanada's older ninja roles before he was Scorpion

MCShvabo You will not ever see ninjas or good martial artists in Japan. Because Japanese are very modest. They never show martial arts, they only learn martial arts to protect themselves and protect their health.

ngọc star you may not heard of pride fight but there are crazy fighters in japan. They can get pretty bloody if they wanted to.
