top choice is a restricted use pesticide in the state of Georgia. I am not sure about Alabama. If it is you will need a pesticide license to buy/apply this product..

You are correct. Great point. A pesticide license is needed to buy and apply Top Choice.

What rates of Prodiamine do you use? Do you do split apps of Prodiamine?
@kyletuckerlawncare12 күн бұрын
I mix Prodiamine at .37 oz/1,000 sqft rate. That is the split rate. I spray one round in January and another in March.

They need to mowthat lawn lower. Too bad lawn companies don't understand bermuda grass and set mowers for st Augustine in the south.

I have zoysia in GA. I wonder if that’s a big fungus and if you need fertilizer and micronutrients like sea kelp, humid acid and spoon feed monthly. Maybe it died like you said due to drought damage, do you water an inch a week? You should test the soil and maybe core aerate in the spring with a 16,4,8 fertilizer.

That's St Augistine grass on the left. I have Centipede, St Augistine, and Bermuda, too. My least favorite is Bermuda, especially wild Bermuda.

I have heard some of the old-timers says centipede will always win out. I have also seen folks that want a centipede yard will plant bermuda along with centipede for a fast start lawn understanding that the centipede will win out over the years. I know in my yard about 5 years ago was probably a 50-50 split and now it is an 70-30 split for centipede. Good subject, thanks.

Could scarifying or verticutting be done at the same time as scalping? Seams like it would be the perfect time.
@kyletuckerlawncare5 ай бұрын
Absolutely, that would be a great time to do those at the same time.

If you wanted to remove it just verticut the property line of the yard because Bermuda uses rhizomes and runners.

Good video. I would have liked a statement indicating that this is particularly for warm-season grass. A couple of other observations. First, prodiamine granules (being a highly used one) from certain manufacturers are large and particularly difficult to dissolve. Second, warm-season grass should be cut very short (at least to be 1 inch tall) before applying the pre-emergent so the product-soil contact is ensured. Third, granule application has to be followed up with liquid application.
