Tried it. 1. Cut the baking soda in half, you're just raising dough, not the dead. 2. Use freshly squeezed orange juice, because the juice from a carton is 15g of sugar per 250 ml of juice. Feel free to cut the sugar in the recipe as well. 3. Use 2 cups of flour, not 1.5 if you want your cake to keep it together Really give this recipe a try. Goes great with coffee and impresses your workmates and your date. Speaking from experience

Hi I made the cake, the flavor is delicious but the texture is not, I used Sorghum so it fell apart (not spongey). Is there a way to glue it together? Then it will be the 10 out of 10 cake for me. Thank you!

Thank you for the video recipe. I did it and it came out perfect. Not too sweet. I also added some hazelnut flour in the crust (2-3 tbsp). And garnished with sliced almonds and dry lavender.

Hi. I used the equivalent of 180 g of sugar. I don’t know what sweetener do you use. So you can calculate after this quantity of sugar. Each sweetener is different 😊

Hi! Love your recipe 😊 I’m gonna make this for a dear coworker that loves this cake. I was wondering what is the purpose of the rice/ beans on the dough while baking it ? Also is the rice reusable after 😅 I’ll appreciate it a lot if you could explain 😊much love from Amsterdam

The beans/rice weigh the dough down so it does not rise! It keeps it flat so you can fill it later. I don’t think rice will be useable later, but dried beans should be reusable 😊

You can add a little bit more flour. Usually it sank when is not enough flour. Maybe our measuring units are different🙂

I think it is the type of flour because I added about 70 g more of flour to get the right consistency .. thanks for the recipe ❤❤❤

Also it helps to not have the cake slowly cool down. First only open the oven a bit. Then open it fully, and let it cool down like that.

i tried and i dont like it because of baking soda. it smell extremely baking soda and taste like baking soda. l️Dont put baking soda just baking powder is enough.
