Friendships are strange. I found as a teenager and in my 20s I craved friendships. Even if they were toxic. Clung on for dear life. Then I began to have awakenings and realised so many friendships were a waste of time & I started to drop people & simply remove them from my life. And as time went on this included family members too. Realised how horrible and toxic these relationships were. And now have much solitude in life. I may meet with the odd friend but it’s never a deep friendship. More like hanging out going out for meals & discussing children things.

That's me and I feel at peace even though my daughter will at times tell me that I'm too cold family wise but I don't feel the need to entertain that because I know what I know
